As part of the Tokyo Game Show (東京ゲームショウ), an award show is held to recognize the people that work on Japanese games. On Thursday September 15th, 2011 at 4 o’clock, the "Japan Game Award” was held at Makuhari Messe in Japan. Junichi Masuda posted on the GameFreak Director's Column that they had won four awards.
