Tomy International Inc. has announced on October 4th, 2012 that they have signed a multi-year deal with The Pokémon Company International to expand its toy line around the world. Currently Takara Tomy toys are only officially distributed in a few Asian countries but the deal now allows them to distribute their licensed products in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Tomy first received its license for Pocket Monsters toys in 1997. By entering into this agreement, Tomy hopes to distribute their Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 toy lines that launched earlier in the year in Japan.
