Summary
It's a beautiful day outside. The ocean and wind feels nice on Ash and co who are traveling on a boat. Max asks about the amount of symbols that Ash has won. Ash has won four, and he only needs three more. May wonders where the next facility is at. Brock tells her that the next one is the Battle Palace which is located on Metallica Island.

The boat comes close to an island. Brock mentions that they are headed for Potpourri Island. Meanwhile, Team Rocket are spying on Ash and co. in their Magikarp sub. Jessie spots them just ahead. James and Meowth are upset that Jessie isn't pedaling as they are doing all of the work. Jessie tells them in sad expression that she is too tired to pedal. Ash and co. have finally landed on Potpourri Island, an island that has lots of nature. They decide to walk up to the Pokémon Center. On their way to the Pokémon Center, May spots some Pokémon playing on the grass. Nurse Joy comes out and tells them that the Pokémon Center also acts like a daycare for Pokémon. Ash and co. introduces themselves to Nurse Joy. Ash explains to Nurse Joy that they are on their way to the Battle Palace. Then three kids walks around talking about something. Ash wonders what the kids are talking about. Nurse Joy tells them that they will be holding an event called Pokémon Orienteering. Nurse Joy explains that you and your Pokémon form a combination and the fastest one to travel around the island wins. The winner receives a medal. Second place winners receives special fruit from the island. May and Ash wants to participate. Brock says that he wants to be with Nurse Joy, and Max drags him away again.

Team Rocket have been listening on Ash and co.'s conversation from a tree. They also want to enter the Orienteering contest in order to win the prizes. On the back porch at the Pokémon Center. Ash and co. are discussing the contest. Ash is going along with Pikachu, May is using Eevee, and Brock is going to use Bonsly. Max wants to participate in the contest too. He asks May if she could lend him Munchlax. May tells Max that he can use Munchlax. They all want to win the contest.

The next day, Ash, May, and Brock drop their Pokémon off at the daycare with the other Pokémon that were previously there. Nurse Joy explains to everyone who is participating how the contest works. Everyone is given a map with five points. At each point is a stamp which gets stamped on the map. The fastest combination who can stamp their maps and come back wins. James tells himself that he wants the medal badly. Nurse Joy shows the medal to everyone. She also shows the big boxes of fruit. Team Rocket wants the prizes badly. James wants the medal while Jessie wants the fruit. The contest starts.

While running, Ash tells Pikachu that they should look for a place that is far away. He takes out the map and finds and sees that Rainbow Waterfall is pretty far away. May tells Eevee that they will head for a place called Sea-Viewing Cape first. BOnsly is already tired from running. Brock tells Bonsly not to use up all of its energy. Brock wants to do this contest in a safe way. He tells Bonsly that they will first go to the Great Three-Hundred-Year-Old tree. Meanwhile, Max isn't have such a good time with Munchlax. Munchlax is already running ahead of Max with Max trying to chase it. James decides to go to Moon Rock first. Jessie and Meowth are walking along the road. Meowth has the map figuring out where to go. He tells Jessie that they can just keep going in a straight line, and they will eventually find a place. Jessie thinks that with their strategy, they will win the fruit and medal.

Ash and Pikachu are walking on a log. The log is a shortcut to Rainbow Waterfall. Ash holds out his arms for balance. Suddenly, a gust of wind occurs and Ash and Pikachu lose their balance. They begin to fall, but they quickly hold on the bottom of the log. They decide to just crawl the rest of the way to the other side. May and Eevee are jumping on rocks to the other side. May tells Eevee to be careful. Unfortunately for May, she slips on one of the rocks and lands in the water with Eevee following her. The current takes them downstream. Brock is using his compass to find their first location. Brock sees Nurse Joy and her Oddish ahead. She is also participating in the contest. Brock sees the beauty of Nurse Joy, and he goes crazy again. Bonsly gets angry at Brock, and it slams its body against Brock. From behind, Brock is sent across the island. Meanwhile, James and Manene have just finished climbing a cliff. They reach Moon Rock. Next to Moon Rock is a stamp. James gladly stamps his map. James notices that the stamp is in the shape of a Lunatone. Munchlax is still running away from Max, and Max tries to catch up with it.

By going in a straight line, Jessie and Meowth have reached the end of a cliff. All they can see is the ocean. There aren't any stamps around them, so they decide to follow the map. Ash and Pikachu have finally reached Rainbow Waterfall. A few Remoraid comes out, and they form water arcs. They run towards the table, and Ash gets his map stamped. Brock has also reached his first location with Bonsly. He gets his map stamped. Brock notices that the stamp picture is a Pineco. Max still isn't having much luck with Munchlax. Meanwhile, May and Eevee are drying off. Eevee shakes the water off itself while May dries herself with a towel. She apologizes to Eevee. May then notices the nice view of the ocean. Next to the ocean is a stamp. May stamps her map, and they head for their next location. Jessie and Meowth have reached the top of a cliff with nothing on it. Jessie is enraged that she can't find any stamps. They decide to mess other people up because James still has a chance to get the prizes.

Max has finally caught up with Munchlax. He looks at the map and says that they can start off with the Great Three-Hundred-Year-Old tree. Max then looks at Munchlax only to find out that it is sleeping. Ash and Pikachu continues to run towards their next location when suddenly, they fall into a hole. The hole was made by Jessie and Meowth. Brock and Bonsly walks along the path. Brock trips over a rope and a net captures them. The net was also courtesy of Jessie and Meowth. Max seems to have lost Munchlax again. He calls out for Munchlax but gets no response. Suddenly, there's a rustling in the bushes. Eevee appears infront of Max. May obviously has lost Eevee and is searching for it. Munchlax appears infront of her. Then Max and Eevee meet up with May and Munchlax. May tells Max not to lose Munchlax next time. Max asks May the amount of stamps that she has. She says that she only has one stamp. Knowing that he has zero stamps, Max takes Munchlax and they run off. Meanwhile, Ash and Pikachu have reached Sea-Viewing Cape where they get another stamp.

The Pokémon at the daycare center are playing happily. Marshtomp is playing with Wooper and Corphish is playing with Azurill. James's next location is Suspension Bridge. Jessie and Meowth appears from a bush. They tell James that they know a shortcut to Suspension Bridge. James is led to a big cliff. Jessie and Meowth tells James that he will be close to Suspension Bridge if he climbs the cliff. James doesn't want to climb the cliff. Him and Manene angrily stomp away. Meanwhile, May is at Moon Rock stamping her map with the Lunatone stamp. Ash and Pikachu have taken a lunch break. Max and Munchlax are in a different area eating. Munclax gobbles down its food and wants more. Max doesn't have anymore food for Munchlax, and so Munchlax begins to whine about it. Max understands and he gives Munchlax his sandwich. May is feeding her Eevee some Pokémon food. She tells Eevee that it looks really nice and that it will do well in contests. Brock is giving Bonsly its milk bottle. James and Manene also stop for a rest. James takes out a cookie and breaks it in half. The halves aren't even, so James offers Manene the bigger piece even though Manene doesn't want it. Jessie breaks her cookie in half, and her halves aren't even as well. She offers Meowth the smaller piece. This gets Meowth angry and they begin to fight each other over the bigger half of the cookie.

James has just finished stamping his map at his third location. Only two more stamps and he wins. May and her Eevee takes a cart downhill. She runs to the stamp, but a hole consumes her. The hole was planted by Jessie and James again. Max and Munchlax approaches a river. Max says that they don't have much time left. He takes a pole and uses it to bring himself and Munchlax to the other side of the river. However, just before they can get up, Max and Munchlax falls into a hole. May stamps her map with a Skarmory stamp. May runs on the bridge only to find Max and Munchlax on it. Max asks May the amount of stamps she needs. May replies that she needs one more stamp. Max gloomly says that he needs two more. Max tells her that if he can get the stamp that May previously got before, he will have one more left. May wishes Max good luck. Jessie and Meowth approaches the bridge. They cut the ropes with scissors. The bridge falls. Ash and Brock hears a loud shriek from May. May and Max are hanging on the edge of the bridge. Suddenly, Jessie gets a great idea. Since nobody is at the Pokémon Center, they can just steal the fruit. Meowth agrees with Jessie's plan. May tells Max to not let go of her hand. The ropes that holds the bridge together begins to break. The ropes break, and May and Max screams. However, they don't immediately fall into the river. Ash and Brock are at the scene holding the ropes. May and Max are glad that Ash and Brock came to their rescue.

The Pokémon at the Pokémon Center are taking a nap. A net springs out, trapping the Pokémon. All the Pokémon wakes up. Jessie tells them that they will be taking the fruit. Meowth hauls the fruit away. Meowth wants to take the baby Pokémon away as well. Forutnately, Swellow didn't get trapped in the net. It flies up and searches for Ash. Ash and Brock have pulled May and Max up to safety. May wants to know the source that caused the bridge to break. Ash thinks that someone was messing with it. Swellow swoops down and tells Ash the problem. Brock thinks that there is trouble at the Pokémon Center. Ash and co. rushes down to the Pokémon Center. Before Jessie and Meowth can steal the fruit and Pokémon, Ash and co. comes out to stop them. They say their motto with Meowth dressing up as James. While Jessie and Meowth are distracted, May and Max takes the fruit away from them. Meanwhile, Brock frees the Pokémon from the net. When Jessie and Meowth are finished with the motto, they are shocked to see that the Pokémon and fruit are gone. Mad, Jessie sends out Dustox. Ash chooses Donphan to battle. Dustox starts off with a Tackle which slightly damages Donphan. Donphan gets back up and uses Take Down. Dustox gets knocked into Jessie. Then Donphan finishes them off with a Hyper Beam.

James continues to walk around. He heard Jessie and Meowth blasting off. When the orienteering contest is over, Nurse Joy announces that James and Manene are the winners. She gives James the medal. On the medal is a picture of him and Manene. James cheers as this was what he wanted. He kisses Manene on the cheek several times. Jessie is glad because if James won then she gets the fruit. Nurse Joy tells James that he won the fruit, but since Ash saved the Pokémon, she wanted to give the fruit to him. James agrees to let Ash have the fruit. Jessie and Meowth are shocked that James would do that. James tells everyone that the medal was the only thing he wanted, so everyone else can help themselves to the fruit. Ash and co. discusses the contest even though they didn't win. They all thought that the contest was very fun. Nurse Joy walks up to the group and asks May if she is participating in Pokémon Contests. May nods her head. Nurse Joy tells her that a contest is being held on the island. The contest is held in Modama Town. May is very excited by this. Ash wishes May the best of luck. Now Ash and co. are headed for Modama Town.

English Official Summary

Ash and his friends enter an orienteering competition on Potpourri Island! For this stamp rally challenge, Trainers and their Pokémon compete to be the first to find all the different destinations and stamp their map at each one. The winner gets the Teamwork Medal and boxes of juicy fruit! May lets Max team up with Munchlax and then our heroes—and Team Rocket—split up to enter the race. Jessie and Meowth decide not to bother with the map, a plan that doesn't work out too well. So they hit upon an even better plan: sabotage the other competitors so James and Mime Jr. can win the grand prize for Team Rocket! The other teams are making progress, but Max isn't doing so great and has to cover it up when he runs into May. To make things worse, Jessie and Meowth cut a bridge while Max and May are still on it. Luckily, Ash and Brock get there just in time for a rescue. Jessie and Meowth return to the Pokémon Center, where they net our heroes' other Pokémon and all the fruit for the prize. Swellow gets away and warns Ash, who catches up to the criminals at the crime scene. Jessie and Meowth obligingly stop to recite the Team Rocket logo, which gives Ash's friends plenty of time to sneak around them and retrieve everything they stole. After that, it's no contest. Though Jessie and Meowth are defeated once again, their hopes rise when James and Mime Jr. win the competition—except James happily gives away the prize fruit!

Eyecatch Pre-episode Message

In order to alert the viewers that the episode is about to start, a special eyecatch was used. The eyecatch is a countdown towards the beginning of the episode and contains scenes from previous AG openings, Advance Adventure and Pokémon Symphonic Medley. The split-screen scenes with Haruka and Takeshi were updated versions of the Advance Adventure ones that reflected the changes in the characters' Pokémon teams. More specifically, the scene that depicted Takeshi's Mizugorou and Takeshi's Hassboh was replaced with a scene from Takeshi's Numacraw's battle against Satoshi's Juptile that took place in AG149, while the scene that depicted Haruka's Achamo and Haruka's Agehunt was replaced with a scene from Haruka's Gonbe's battle against Shiromi's Rafflesia that took place in AG151. The countdown ends with Satoshi reciting his catchphrase, "Get Pokémon!" (ポケモンゲットだぜ!, Pokémon getto da ze! ).
