Ready Go is the Japanese ending theme to the Pocket Monsters: Mega Voltage chapter. It is not to be confused with the original series opening theme Ready Go! Ready Go is sung by the Japanese girl group ME:I.
Press Release - March 28th, 2025
It was announced on the 28th that "Ready Go", the double A-side track from the girls group ME:I's 3rd single MUSE, is going to be the ending theme to the new Mega Voltage chapter of the anime TV show Pocket Monsters (airs on the TV Tokyo Network every Friday at 6:55pm, officially abbreviated "Anipoke") that premieres April 11th. At the same time, an anime edition of the single was announced as well.
The CD jacket for the anime edition features the major Pokémon and characters from the TV show alongside the members of ME:I. A special bonus item for early buyers of the first press limited anime edition of the CD was announced as well; Each customer will receive one half-size unedited photograph (Captain Pikachu hat ver.) on a first-come-first-serve basis as long as supplies last.
When we asked her about this tie-in, MOMONA commented with joy that "Pocket Monsters is a franchise that's beloved all around the world, and which has also been near and dear to me ever since I was born, so it's genuinely like a dream come true to get to be part of it in the form of music by handling an ending theme!" "Pocket Monsters is beloved by both men and women, boys and girls of all ages", she continued, "and I hope that our singing will likewise reach all kinds of people."
ME:I's 3rd single "MUSE" contains 4 songs, and its associated tagline is "My Eternal Muse". This is a double A-side single headlining "MUSE", a song presenting ME:I as people who used to admire others, had their dreams come true, and are now becoming the object of someone else's dreams and admiration, as well as "Ready Go", a song with a memorable retro pop sound that was written specifically to act as an ending theme to the Pocket Monsters TV show. The single has a somewhat nostalgic tune to it and tells a story of ME:I's members that bridges the past and the future. This single lets you enjoy the further growth of ME:I as the group approaches the start of their second year since their initial debut.
A comment from MOMONA:
Pocket Monsters is a franchise that's beloved all around the world, and which has also been near and dear to me ever since I was born, so it's genuinely like a dream come true to get to be part of it in the form of music by handling an ending theme! Ready Go is a poppy and charming song full of words associated with Pocket Monsters. Pocket Monsters is beloved by both men and women, boys and girls of all ages, and I hope that this song, which is filled with a unique charm the likes you've never heard from ME:I before, will likewise make our singing reach all kinds of people. Look forward to it!

Interview - April 8th, 2025 - MOMONA, SHIZUKU and SUZU
The official Japanese Anime PR Twitter account posted an
interview with ME:I on April 8th, 2025.
Only 3 days left until the new chapter of the Pokémon anime! Ready Go to Mega Voltage! We bring you countdown comments from ME:I, the singers of the ending theme! Today we have MOMONA, SHIZUKU and SUZU:
Momona: Hello, everyone. This is Momona,
Shizuku: Shizuku...
Suzu: ...and Suzu from ME:I!
Momona: Mega Voltage, the new chapter of the Pocket Monsters anime, will start in... Ready?
All: ...Only 3 days!
Momona: ME:I's new song Ready Go is going to be the ending theme for it, so the three of us thought we'd answer some questions for you today!
Did anything memorable happen during the recording for the song?
Momona: This time around the track had a blend of synthesized... or rather mechanical sounds, so the recording session ended up being the shortest we've ever had.
Shizuku: Oh, you're right.
Momona: I think so, at least. But I seriously only sang like once or twice and that was it, so... while I was recording, I kept kind of wondering how the final result would turn out. However, when I heard the finalized song, that blend of mechanical sounds had given me a voice I had never heard from myself before, and I was really happy with how new and different it sounded.
Are there any Pokémon you think resemble the members of ME:I?
Shizuku: Yes, there's one I think resembles Suzu. I think she really resembles Purin.
Momona: I get it.
Shizuku: Purin has this soft and easygoing vibe to it that really reminds me of her, and they're both really cute.
Momona: It has her member color too.
Shizuku: Right.
Momona: Pink.
Shizuku: That might be part of why it reminds me of her too.
If you could become a Pokémon, which Pokémon would you want to be?
Suzu: Right, so Shi-chan just told me I resemble Purin, and that actually happens to be one of my favorite Pokémon, so...
Shizuku/Momona: Ooh!
Suzu: I like it because it's pink and its bangs, you know, they curl around like this.
Shizuku: Right, they do.
Finally, do you have something you want to tell those who are watching this video?
Momona: So with that said, Mega Voltage is the new chapter ME:I have been graciously allowed to handle the ending theme for, but you know, this is still kind of a new chapter for us as well, or rather, we have a lot of growing to do as a girl group, so we feel truly honored to have been given the opportunity to handle the ending theme this time. Everyone, please listen a lot to Ready Go!
Shizuku/Suzu: Please!
Shizuku: The Pocket Monsters TV show airs every Friday at 6:55pm on the TV Tokyo Network!
Suzu: Friday April 11th will be a 1 hour special.
Momona: Please look forward to the ending theme we handled for the new chapter Mega Voltage as well! This has been Momona,
Shizuku: Shizuku...
Suzu: ...and Suzu from ME:I!
All: Bye bye!
Interview - April 9th, 2025 - RAN, RINON and AYANE

Only 2 days left until the new chapter of the Pokémon anime! Ready Go to Mega Voltage! We bring you countdown comments from ME:I, the singers of the ending theme! Today we have RAN, RINON and AYANE:
Ran: Hello, everyone. This is Ran,
Ayane: Ayane...
Rinon: ...and Rinon from ME:I!
Ran: Mega Voltage, the new chapter of the Pocket Monsters anime, will start in... Ready?
All: ...Only 2 days!
Ran: ME:I's new song Ready Go is going to be the ending theme for it, so the three of us thought we'd answer some questions for you today!
Did anything memorable happen during the recording for the song?
Ran: Since the concept of Ready Go as a song is synth-style sound, we were instructed to sing in a kind of monotone way, like this... and I was focusing so much on that that I kind of ended up singing this pretty long part right before the chorus that goes "one two three four..." without drawing my breath at all. We definitely got a great take though, and the song as a whole ended up really good, so we'd be really happy if you'd give it a listen.
Are there any Pokémon you think resemble the members of ME:I?
Ayane: Ran-san resembles... Nyoromo.
Ran: Nyoromo?
Ayane: Yes.
Ran: Nyoromo?! So I'm like Nyoromo, huh?
Ayane: Yeah, you got big and round eyes.
Ran: So that's why I resemble it?
Ayane: And Rinon-chan resembles... Gothimu.
Rinon: Gothimu?
Ayane: Yes.
Rinon: So I'm like Gothimu?
Ran: It really captures her key traits, doesn't it?
Ayane: Her mouth looks really cute, and her eyes are big and round.
Ran: Indeed.
If you could become a Pokémon, which Pokémon would you want to be?
Rinon: If I could actually become a Pokémon...
Ran: Yes, any Pokémon you'd like.
Rinon: ...then I'd definitely become the absolutely strongest legendary Pokémon of all; A Pokémon loved by everyone, adored by everyone and admired by everyone.
Ran: Good choice. So like, do you have an example?
Rinon: I would like to become Mewtwo.
Ran/Ayane: Ooh.
Rinon: Definitely Mewtwo. And I'd like to have Mewtwo's figure too, please.
Finally, do you have something you want to tell those who are watching this video?
Ran: We'd be really happy if you'll come to love our new song Ready Go alongside Mega Voltage, the new chapter of the Pocket Monsters TV show.
Ayane: The Pocket Monsters TV show airs every Friday at 6:55pm on the TV Tokyo Network!
Rinon: Friday April 11th will be a 1 hour special.
Ran: Please look forward to the ending theme we handled for the new chapter Mega Voltage as well! This has been Ran,
Ayane: Ayane...
Rinon: ...and Rinon from ME:I!
All: Bye bye!
Interview - April 10th, 2025 - MIU, KEIKO and KOKONA

Only 1 day left until the new chapter of the Pokémon anime! Ready Go to Mega Voltage! We bring you countdown comments from ME:I, the singers of the ending theme! Today we have MIU, KEIKO and KOKONA:
Keiko: Hello, everyone. This is Keiko,
Miu: Miu...
Kokona: ...and Kokona from ME:I! Mega Voltage, the new chapter of the Pocket Monsters anime, will start in...
Miu: Ready?
All: ...Only 1 day!
Miu: ME:I's new song Ready Go is going to be the ending theme for it.
Keiko: The three of us thought we'd answer some questions for you today!
Did anything memorable happen during the recording for the song?
Miu: When I was recording a take of the entire song, not just my own part in it, there's this bit in the "Ready Go" section that goes "Go... Go...".
Keiko: Yeah.
Miu: I originally didn't think I'd actually have to say anything for that bit, figuring it'd just be handled with autotune or something.
Keiko: Oh, I see.
Miu: And that "Go... Go..." like bit has this really unexpected timing to it.
Keiko: Oh right, it was really hard to time!
Miu: I can do it fine now, but when I initially recorded it I kept missing the timing over and over. I'm sorry.
Keiko: Yeah, that bit was kind of difficult.
Miu: I remember thinking "that part's sung, that part'll be autotuned"... It was really difficult.
Are there any Pokémon you think resemble the members of ME:I?
Keiko: Miu-chan... resembles Mew. They're both really tiny and cute.
Miu: So it's not because of the name?
Keiko: Oh. Yeah, those are similar too. As for Kokona, I just realized how much she resembles Sirnight. The way their hair is parted is very similar, isn't it?
If you could become a Pokémon, which Pokémon would you want to be?
Kokona: I'm just talking appearance-wise here, but... I'd really like to become a Kabigon.
Miu: Really?
Kokona: Yeah. Since it's like... squishy, and cute. And it seems like it touches its own stomach and such. So...
Finally, do you have something you want to tell those who are watching this video?
Keiko: First off, I'm really happy to get to work with Pokémon, which I've watched since I was a kid. Ready Go is a very nice song, so please listen to it a lot!
Kokona: The Pocket Monsters TV show airs every Friday at 6:55pm on the TV Tokyo Network!
Miu: Friday April 11th will be a 1 hour special.
Keiko: Please look forward to the ending theme we handled for the new chapter Mega Voltage as well! This has been Keiko,
Ayane: Miu...
Rinon: ...and Kokona from ME:I!
All: Bye bye!
