Summary:
Together was the first opening for Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl and it featured two main variants throughout it run. The animation was updated quite often throughout the series as the main characters captured new Pokémon or they evolved.The opening text featured a slight change to include Hikari. The full text states: The mysterious creatures of this planet Pocket Monsters... "Pokémon" for short! Now, the story of Satoshi and Hikari, and Pokémon, their meetings, adventures, and battles are about to begin!" (この星の不思議な生き物 ポケットモンスター・・・ ちぢめてポケモン！ 今、サトシとヒカリと ポケモンたちの 出会いと冒険と戦いの物語がはじまる！)
The opening starts off with Satoshi and Pikachu stating together as they watch the sun rise between two mountains. The opening text is displayed as a few birds fly over.
ポケットモンスター beings to scroll vertically on the left side of the screen while "Diamond&Pearl" scrolls by horizontally until they finally combine into the full logo in the center of the screen.
Satoshi and Pikachu are at the top of a large tree as they look around at all the flying Pokémon around them. The shot zooms out as it shows Takeshi is half way up the same tree and he is looking at the sky as well. A Perap fly's by as it transitions to the next scene.
Satoshi and his friends are next seen in an alley chasing after a jumping Nyarmar and then it transitions to a beaver dam as they try to cross it without falling into the water. Next they are following Satoshi who has a flashlight on in a cave and they all turn to see a Dorapion appear in the cave with them.
The next few scene feature Satoshi, Hikari, Takeshi as well as their rivals with their current roster of Pokémon. The shots are updated with their latest Pokémon to coincide with the main series. Near the end, Satoshi, Pikachu, Hikari and Takeshi are seen riding seadoo's while the song lyrics state "Aqua Jet". It transitions to Palkia and Dialga on some cliffs with a Lucario looking up at them.
The final shot is a region map of Sinnoh with a Poké ball in the foreground with Satoshi, Pikachu and Takeshi sitting on top of the Poké ball and Hikari leaning against it.
