Nintendo Canada has announced the Shiny Gengar distribution and the Hoenn Region Poster Giveaway. Full details are in the press release.

Get a Shiny Gengar from October 13-26!

Gengar is as ready for a fight as it is for a fright. By picking up a special code card at participating EB Games locations in Canada, you can add this sinister Pokémon to your Pokémon X or Pokémon Y game. This Gengar is a Shiny Pokémon, meaning it's a different color from most Gengar you will meet.

But it gets even better! This Gengar arrives holding a Gengarite, the Mega Stone that allows it to become Mega Gengar during battle. When it does so, this Shiny Pokémon dramatically becomes bright white! It also gets some stat increases, and its Ability becomes Shadow Tag, which prevents foes from fleeing or switching out in battle.

You'll be able to get the code card at participating EB Games locations between October 13 and October 26, so be sure to pick one up!

Get a Spooky Pumpkaboo during the month of October!

Celebrate the Halloween season with Pumpkaboo! You can get this special Ghost- and Grass-type Pokémon via Nintendo Network distribution during the month of October. This Super Size Pumpkaboo comes with moves that fit the Halloween theme, including Trick-or-Treat and Scary Face. Plus, it's holding a Rocky Helmet, which can cause damage to its attacker!

When traded, this Pokémon evolves into Super Size Gourgeist, which is the Pokémon you need to compete in the Trick-or-Treat Friendly. Trade Pumpkaboo with a friend so you're both ready to compete!

Pumpkaboo is available via Nintendo Network for your Pokémon X or Pokémon Y game from October 1 through October 31. Don’t miss this opportunity to get a special Pumpkaboo and have a happy Halloween!
