Nintendo announced via a press release that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire sold almost 1.5 million combined copies of the game. The sales include physical and digital copies of the games. Data regarding physical sales of games in November are from the NPD Group. Data regarding digital downloads of games and combined physical/digital life-to-date numbers are from Nintendo’s internal sales figures. The games sold 3.04 million copies worldwide during its first weekend.

Overall sales of Nintendo 3DS software in November increased by more than 40 percent over the same month in 2013, thanks in part to three huge games:

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire: The next great Pokémon adventures for Nintendo 3DS launched on Nov. 21 and have already sold nearly 1.5 million combined physical and digital units in the U.S. alone.
