A major update to Pokémon Shuffle is now available to download off the Nintendo eShop and players can also patch in-game to bring the game to
version 1.2.1. Numerous new features have been added and details of these new features are listed below. The official site also hinted that more new kinds of Event Stages are coming in future updates to the game.
Details of this patch have been added to our Pokémon Shuffle page.
Super Catch Power!
With the new
Super Catch Power (Super Get Chance スーパーゲットチャンス), Pokémon are easier to catch than before as players get another chance to catch the Pokémon at the end of a stage after failing to catch it. On occasion this feature will trigger and a Pokémon will seem to be panicking which will give the player a huge boost in the Catchability percentage.
Extra Exp. Points on Weekends!
Players can receive more Exp. Points on the weekend now by playing the Victini's stage. This stage will appear every weekend from 6:00 UTC on Saturday until 6:00 UTC on Sunday, for a limited time. Players already have some stages where they can get Exp. Points quite easily such as Stage 21 with Buneary or Stage 130 with Ampharos, but Victini's stage is easy enough even for beginners, so everyone can get a lot of Exp. Points!
The Meowth's Coin Mania stage is now available from 06:00 UTC on Sunday until 06:00 UTC on Monday.
Improved Heart Usage
Before the version 1.2.0 patch, players had a stock of Hearts which included both the Hearts that automatically regenerate and those received in exchange for Jewels or for passing by other players. With this update, the Hearts that a player automatically regenerates will be stored separately from those received by other methods, allowing regenerating Hearts to always be used first.
Pokémon Information
Before the version 1.2.0 patch, it was only possible to check your Pokémon’s current level and skill on the Pokémon List or on the list of Support Pokémon displayed before beginning a stage. This update now allows players to see a Pokémon's level and skill info whenever they catch a new Pokémon.
Combo Numbers Shown Longer
The combo number is displayed on screen for a slightly longer amount of time allowing players more time to take a picture to post on Miiverse.
