On April 20th, 2018, Studio Hamburg Enterprises released Pokémon the Series XY (Pokémon Die TV-Serie XY - Staffel 17) on Blu-Ray in Germany. This marked the first time anywhere in the world that this season had been released on a retail high definition capable physical media and also the first time a Pokémon season that was originally mastered in high defintion was available on Blu-ray.
