Information about the new upcoming Japanese Pokemon Card Game LEGEND (ポケモンカードゲームLEGEND) set was announced today. The set will be based on the upcoming games Pocket Monsters Heart Gold and Soul Silver for the Nintendo DS. The set will go on sale in Japan on October 9th, 2009.

The new set will be divided into two smaller sets, Pokemon Card Game LEGEND - Heart Gold Collection (ポケモンカードゲームLEGEND ハートゴールドコレクション) and Pokemon Card Game LEGEND - Soul Silver Collection (ポケモンカードゲームLEGEND ソウルシルバーコレクション). The cards availability will be split up similar to how they will be split in the upcoming NDS games.
