Today was the final day of the New York Anime Festival, an annual anime convention held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. It features exclusive and extensive anime screenings, guests from America and Japan, manga, cosplay, video games, live-action Japanese cinema, fashion, food, and the cultural treasures that gave birth to Japanese pop culture.

This year, admin TSS_Killer had the privilege to attend the convention as part of the press. Below is information from the "VIZ Media Anime & Manga Panel" that was held on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 12:15 to 1:15 PM. Jane Lui hosted the VIZ Media panel which featured the latest info on their manga and anime offerings.



Announced during the panel were two Pokemon related items. The first being the Pokemon: Giratina & The Sky Warrior: Ani-Manga and the second was the Pokemon Poster collection that was announced last week. The manga will be available on November 3rd and it has a suggested manufacturers retail price of $11.99 USD. The poster collection is available now at bookstores and newsstands.

During the question period for the Viz panel, questions were asked about a Movie 12 DVD and information about why the Movie 9 DVD had mono audio. Viz employees in attendance were unable to answer the Movie 9 audio issue and were not willing to comment on a Movie 12 English Dub DVD.
