The Strings Omotesandoh, located in Kita-aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, will launch a Strings brand's first Pikachu Afternoon Tea from Monday, April 24th, 2023 to Monday, July 3rd, 2023 at its first floor Cafe & Dining ZelkovA. It will also be held at The Strings Hotel Nagoya from Thursday, June 1st, 2023 to Thursday, August 31st, 2023. High resolution photos from the press release have been added to an Imageboard thread.


The menu will be a delightful array of playful items, including mini burgers inspired by Pikachu's bright yellow color, Pikachu silhouette muffins, and macarons designed with the pattern on Pikachu's back.


The quiche, which is inspired by Pikachu's electric generator, is sprinkled with sansho (Japanese pepper) powder to give it a crunchy texture, and the chocolate lollipop has a technique that makes it crackle when it is placed in the mouth. This afternoon tea is a delight for the senses, allowing you to feel Pikachu with both your eyes and mouth.


A latte has Pikachu printed on it and a special plate with a melted chocolate dome are also available as options.


Pikachu and his friends will be waiting for you on the terrace! There are table seats with original Pikachu designs and sofa seats with cute Pikachu running around the walls. Please spend some special time with Pikachu in a special seat limited to just 6 seats.

Takeout Afternoon Tea

The takeout set allows you to enjoy the popular Afternoon Tea at Cafe & Dining ZelkovA in the comfort of your own home. The set comes in an original takeout box that can be displayed on the table as a three-tiered afternoon tea stand.


Pikachu Muffin - A citrus-flavored muffin topped with yellow chantilly cream to represent Pikachu. Adorable ears on the muffin.


Pikachu Hide and Seek: Thick Mango Pudding - The fresh yellow color of this thick mango pudding reminds us of summer. Pikachu coming out of the cherry is very cute.

Forest Pistachio Mousse Tart - This tart is inspired by Pikachu's forest. The tart is filled with pistachio mousse with a savory flavor and garnished with nuts for a mature taste.


Thunderbolt Chocolate Opera - It is a high-quality tasting opera with a design inspired by Pikachu's well-known Thunderbolt move.


Fruit-filled Honey Lemon Jelly - The egg-shaped container is filled with fruit, which goes perfectly with the moderately sweet honey lemon jelly. The fluffy lemon mousse is decorated with a Thunderbolt that melts in your mouth.


Ketchup-filled Cheese Slider - A thick, ketchup-filled burger with a yellow bun, inspired by Pikachu.


Chicken and Tomato Electric Shock Quiche - A rich quiche accented with a bit of Electric Shock powder, which is reminiscent of lightning, in the filling.
