2025 Pokémon UNITE Championship Series

Pokémon UNITE players around the world can compete to earn an invitation to the 2025 World Championships! This fourth year of Pokémon UNITE competition promises to be action-packed, highlighting players and teams from all around the globe.

The Pokémon UNITE Championship Series will feature open online tournaments every month beginning November 2024 in each Regional Zone. Championship Series events will offer a total of over $1,000,000 USD in prizes, including $500,000 USD at the World Championships itself.

Pokémon UNITE Competition Format

Players will form teams and compete 5-on-5 using Pokémon UNITE’s custom tournament lobby. Open qualifying events will be held each month with no entry cost from November 2024 to April 2025. Additionally, some invite-only events will run both online and in person. Players will be able to participate using the Nintendo Switch, iOS, or Android version of Pokémon UNITE.

Qualifying for the 2025 Pokémon UNITE World Championships

The top teams from each Regional Championship online event—as well as winning teams from each International Championship event—will earn invitations to the Pokémon UNITE World Championships. More details on Championship Points earned per event will be announced later. Please check back here for updates.

2025 Pokémon UNITE Championship Series Events

North America (NA), Europe (EU), Latin America – North (LA-N), Latin America – South (LA-S), Brazil (BR), and Oceania (OC) will each host the following events separately. Each region will have its own registration, player pool, and rewards for each event. The exceptions to this are the events taking place at each International Championships this season.

Monthly Events

Each month throughout the season, Pokémon UNITE teams can participate in open online tournaments. These tournaments will use a double-elimination format and will award cash prizes. Please check back for details on these events, including times and prizing information.

Regional Finals

In May, teams can earn a spot in the Regional Finals via the Open Qualifier. The Regional Finals will then determine which teams qualify for the 2025 Pokémon UNITE World Championships via placement. The Regional Finals will begin with a round-robin format with teams split into four groups, then use a double-elimination format in the finals to determine the winner from the top-performing teams.

Pokémon UNITE at International Championships - Pokémon UNITE at LAIC

The North America International Championships and Europe International Championships have both played host to exciting Pokémon UNITE tournaments over the last couple of years. This season, Pokémon UNITE is making its long-awaited debut at the Latin America International Championships with a 32-team open bracket tournament featuring a $25,000 prize pool! Check back soon for more details on tournament rules, registration, and prizing.

Aeos Cup at EUIC

The Aeos Cup is returning to EUIC! The Aeos Cup is an international tournament conducted live at the Europe International Championships that features a $50,000 USD prize pool. The team that wins the Aeos Cup will earn a direct invitation to the World Championships.

The Aeos Cup will feature an open sign-up tournament, where players from all UCS-eligible regional zones can register to compete in the group stage. The group stage will determine the top 32 teams that move on to a single-elimination bracket that will determine the 2025 Aeos Cup Champion.

An online qualifier will be hosted in the NA, EU, LA-N, LA-S, BR, and OC regions in late November. The first-place team from each region’s online Aeos Cup Play-Ins will earn a travel award to the Aeos Cup.

The Final Stretch at NAIC

The Final Stretch is returning to NAIC! The spirit of the tournament is the same—it's every team’s last chance to qualify for Worlds—but it’s going to look a bit different this season. The final Worlds qualifier of the year will now expand to feature 64 teams in an open tournament. The top teams from the open portion of the Final Stretch will form a new single-elimination bracket where they will compete for a $50,000 prize pool and an invitation to the 2025 World Championships.

World Championships

The 2025 Pokémon UNITE World Championships will take place concurrently with other tournaments within the 2025 Pokémon World Championships. Teams can earn an invite to the 2025 Pokémon UNITE World Championships by winning an online Regional Finals event, winning the Aeos Cup at EUIC, or winning the Final Stretch at NAIC. Championship Point qualifications will be based on the Championship Points earned by each team—a change from last year, where qualification was based on the cumulative Championship Point total earned by all five players. Please check back later for more details on the World Championships.
