The
Pocket Monsters Original Series screenplay writer Takeshi Shudō (首藤剛志) was sent to hospital at around 6am on Thursday, October 28th, 2010 after he collapsed at the
JR Nara Station in the smoking area. It was determined that he suffered a
subarachnoid hemorrhage. It was confirmed later in the day that he died from the hemorrhage. He was 61 years old.
