Episode PictureThe latest episode of Pokémon Sunday, Mizugorou and Mokoko! Wonder Drug of Love!?!? / Anime 'Pokémon Ranger: Paths of Light' / Illusion Quiz!

The anime rerun episode for this week was the Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation episode number 149: Mizugorou and Mokoko! Wonder Drug of Love!? During a battle with Satoshi, Takeshi's Mizugorou evolves into a Numacraw. A full synopsis of this episode is available in the episode guide.

During the live action segment of the show, the cast performs a Illusion quiz. The first quiz question featured Robert hiding and blending in with the street. Professor Red, Shoko and Director Golgo each took turns while the video played trying to guess if people or objects were the specific members of Robert. Shoko was able to guess that Akiyama was Lucario's shadow.

The second quiz question featured three people behind a screen with light projected on it to make the people behind it look like silhouette. Professor Red, Shoko and Director Golgo were then asked to guess which of the three people was Akiyama. The silhouettes performed various moves and shifted their shape to make it difficult for them to choose which one was Akiyama. In the end all three managed to figure out that the second person was Akiyama.

In last weeks episode, Robert did various tasks to make Professor Red more lucky so he could win at Pokémon Battles once again. Director Golgo decided to see if what they did was enough to make him lucky and challenged him to a battle. Red was able to win the battle to finally end his loosing streak.

This weeks episode of Pokémon Sunday also featured a special short anime episode based on the new Pokémon Ranger: Paths of Light Nintendo DS game during the Pokémon Ranger Corner. The episode aired in standard definition and fullscreen (4:3).

The anime short begins with Latios being chased in the sky by Pokémon Nappers (ポケモンナッパーズ) in the Oblivia (オブリビア) region. The episode features Pokémon Ranger Natsuya (ナツヤ) who was given a mission to protect the Latios. It quickly flashes back to the Ranger Union and shows Natsuya getting the mission from Professor Shinbara (シンバラ教授) and walking out of the building to see a Mukuhawk. He captures the Mukuhawk and the show returns to the current time.

Natsuya manages to fend off the Nappers long enough for Latios to get away but Red Eye (レッドアイ) appears and shoots him down. Natsuya falls into the water and then washes up on shore. After collecting himself, Natsuya sees Ukulele Pichu (ウクレレピチュー) hiding behind a tree. He decides to capture it as the episode ends.

Feb 20 2010 Pokémon Sunday 279
Episode PictureThe latest episode of Pokémon Sunday, Dance, Waninoko! Do the Step of Love!! / The Announcement of a New Pokémon! / Professor Red Increases his Luck at Battling

The anime rerun episode for this week was the original series episode Dance, Waninoko! Do the Step of Love!! The episode featured Satoshi's Waninoko falling in love with Hibari's Marill while Takeshi gives Waninoko pointers on how to impress it.

During today's Pokémon Daisuki Project, Robert realize that Professor Red is currently very unlucky. During the last few Pokémon Battles that Professor Red has been in, he has been easily defeated. Robert decide that something must be done about Professor Red's current unlucky state and decide to do a bunch of different things to increase his luck.

In the first scene, Robert and Professor Red are seen together in a hot tub discussing Red's bad luck streak and how they are going to break that streak. Yamamoto points up to a mural of Mt. Fuji above the hot tub which was the first luck point ( 開運ポイント1) for Professor Red. Looking at Mount Fuji is considered good luck. (富士山を見ると運がよくなる) The picture is of Mount Fuji during a morning sunrise in a season where the is no snow on the mountain. This raised Professor Red's luck points.

While they were all still in the hot tub, Baba brought up the second luck point which was a proverb "Luck comes to those who smile" (笑う門には福きたる) Robert then began splashing Red with a lot of water to test him if he could continue smiling, but instead of increasing his luck point meter, it decreased significantly because he got mad as water was being splashed in his face. Robert stopped splashing him and Yamamoto began reciting the beginning of the proverb to Professor Red and he replies by finishing off the proverb while smiling and laughing which increased his luck meter a bit.

After getting out of the hot tub, Robert gave Professor Red a stuffed Lucky (ラッキー Chansey) to wear around his neck for good luck. Lucky obviously must be 'lucky'! The third luck point was 'Going to popular site will bring luck'. (人気スポットに行くと運がよくなる) Robert brought Professor Red to the Tobu Animal Park while wearing his stuffed Lucky to ride a roller coaster.

After the Pokémon Daisuki Project, Shoko-tan finally revealed the new Pokémon that Jun'ichi Masuda hinted at by revealing a silhouette in Pokémon Sunday 277. Shoko removed the cover over two easels, revealing Zorua (ゾロア), is the Evil Fox Pokémon, a Dark-type Pokémon which is 0.7m tall and 12.5kg. She also revealed Zoroark (ゾロアーク), is the Monster Fox Pokémon, a Dark-type Pokémon which is 1.6m tall and 81.1kg.
