At the end of PM2019 117, the three movies that won the voting for the 25th Anniversary Pokémon Film Festival were announced with a special teaser video. A longer version of the video was available to watch on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel but it is region locked to Japan. Full details were revealed on the official Pocket Monsters movie website and Toho has a list of theaters that will be holding the film festival.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Satoshi and Pikachu's adventures, the "Get a summer of memories! The 25th Anniversary Pokémon Film Festival" will be held! Everyone's votes have been counted and the results are in for the three films that will be screened at movie theaters.

  • Starting on August 11th, 2022 until supplies last, serial codes for a Latias and Satoshi's Pikachu (World Cap) were distributed in theaters and the codes could be redeemed in Pokémon Sword or Shield until September 30th, 2022. A Pikachu Pokémon Mezastar Tag was also distributed.
  • Starting on August 19th, 2022 until supplies last, serial codes for a Jirachi and Satoshi's Pikachu (World Cap) were distributed in theaters and the codes could be redeemed in Pokémon Sword or Shield until September 30th, 2022. A Pikachu Pokémon Mezastar Tag was also distributed.
  • Starting on August 26th, 2022 until supplies last, serial codes for a Dialga that could be redeemed in Pokémon Shield or a Palkia that could be redeemed in Pokémon Sword were distributed in theaters in addition to the Satoshi's Pikachu (World Cap) code. A Pikachu Pokémon Mezastar Tag was also distributed.

The Masters Eight are the top eight trainers in the Pokémon World Championships, a tournament to determine the strongest Pokémon Trainers, and they are: Dande, the Galar Champion, Shirona, the Sinnoh Champion, Daigo, the Houen Champion, Wataru, the Kanto/Johto Champion, Carne, the Kalos Champion, Alan, the Kalos League Miare Tournament Champion, Iris, the Isshu Champion, and Satoshi, the first Alola League Champion.

The Masters Eight will be held during this period and during this period, Talking Standby Panels of these Masters Eight will appear at the Pokémon Centers. Look forward to hearing what they have to say! Please note that not all of the Talking Standby Panels of the Masters Eight may appear at some stores or all be on display depending on how crowded the stores are. Please be aware of this in advance.

The "Find Satoshi's Pikachu! Photo Rally" will be held!

During the event period, Pokémon Centers nationwide in Japan will hold the Find Satoshi's Pikachu! Photo Rally (サトシのピカチュウを探せ!フォトラリー)! Scan the 2D code in the store with your smartphone or other devices to access the "Find Satoshi's Pikachu! Photo Rally".

Once you have accessed the site, hold your smartphone or other device over the panels of Masters Eight other than Satoshi in the store to collect clues as to the location of Pikachu, who has become separated from Satoshi! If you are able to find Pikachu, show the "Pikachu Found Screen" to a staff member at the store. You will receive 1 of 4 original stickers at random on the spot!

Listen to in-store announcements from the animated TV series Pocket Monsters!

During this period, in-store announcements will be made by characters from the Pocket Monsters TV animation series at Pokémon Centers nationwide in Japan. Be sure to visit a Pokémon Center to find out who is making the announcements!

Battle Event for Pokémon Sword and Shield!

On Saturday, August 20th, 2022 and Sunday, August 21st, 2022, they will hold a game battle event for Pokémon Sword and Shield on the Nintendo Switch, open to kids of elementary school age and younger! Put one of Satoshi's on-hand Pokémon: Pikachu, Gangar, Kairyu, Lucario, Negigaknight, or Uonoragon on your battle team and fight win Single Battles. If you win three battles, you will receive a Reflector Keychain (リフレクターキーホルダー) with designs of Satoshi and his Pokémon!

To commemorate the release of the final episode of the original web animation Pokémon: Hisuian Snow, the Pokémon LEGENDS Arceus game is giving away a Shiny Baneful Fox mask!

The Baneful Fox mask is a mask based on the Hisuian Zoroark. In the Pokémon: Hisuian Snow story, Alec met a Shiny Zoroark. The color of the masks presented to you this time is based on the color of the Shiny Hisuian Zoroark, the evolved form of Shiny Zorua. Wear this mask and enjoy your adventures in the Hisui Region!

The Shiny Baneful Fox mask can be obtained by selecting "Receive via Internet" from the Mystery Gift menu in the game from June 22nd, 2022 until May 31st, 2023.

To receive the Mystery Gifts, the Nintendo Switch must be connected to the Internet. To connect to the Internet, the console must be linked to a Nintendo Account (subscription to Nintendo Switch Online (paid) is not required). It takes approximately 2 hours of play time to be able to use the Mystery Gift option.

The official Pokémon website has announced that the POKÉTOON animated shorts will have its English premiere on Pokémon TV on June 17th, 2022 and the series will appear on the official Pokémon YouTube Channel later this year.

POKÉTOON Animated Shorts Arrive on Pokémon TV on June 17, 2022

Look for weekly releases from this collection of cartoons, each with its own animation style and storyline.

You'll want to “toon” in to Pokémon TV on June 17, 2022, for the English-language premiere of the first episode of POKÉTOON, a series of animated shorts that were originally published on the Japanese-language Pokémon Kids TV YouTube channel. Each episode tells a different story ranging from silly to heartwarming, and each is presented with a unique art style that makes it stand out from other Pokémon animation.

There are eight POKÉTOON episodes in total, and a new one will release every Friday. Remember, the first episode, “Scraggy and Mimikyu,” arrives on June 17 on Pokémon TV, and the series will appear on the official Pokémon YouTube Channel later this fall.

The Pokémon Company International officially revealed Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series which will air on NetFlix in select markets as early as spring 2022. High resolution pictures from the press release have been added to an Imageboard thread.

In Canada, “Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series” will premiere on TELETOON and STACKTV beginning on Saturday, May 28 at 12:00 p.m. ET/PT.

In Australia, “Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series” will premiere on 9Go! beginning on Thursday, September 15 at 10:30 a.m. AEST.

The official South Korea Pokémon website has announced that to promote the theatrical release of the 11th Pocket Monsters movie - Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin (극장판 포켓몬스터DP 기라티나와 하늘의 꽃다발 쉐이미) on June 1st, 2022, three separate presents will be distributed. This is the first time that movie 11 will be seen in theaters in South Korea as it originally aired on TV on July 3rd, 2009.

A serial code will be distributed to players of the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl or Pokémon LEGENDS Arceus games that they can use to redeem a Regigigas in the game of their choice from June 1st, 2022 until July 31st, 2022.

The Pokémon Company has announce the release date of the first episode of the Pokémon LEGENDS Arceus anime three-part limited animated series. The first episode will air on May 18th, 2022 on Pokémon TV and YouTube. Pictures from the press release have been added to an Imageboard thread.

The Japanese version announced the voice actors for the main character Akio. Akio as a young man is voice by Koki Uchiyama (内山昂輝) while Akio as a young boy is voice by Rie Kugimiya (釘宮理恵).

Details Revealed for Three-Episode Web Series Set in the Ancient Hisui Region

BELLEVUE, Wash. — April 26, 2022 — The Pokémon Company International revealed details today about an animated series that will take fans on a new adventure in the ancient Hisui region of the Pokémon world. The web series, originally teased during a Pokémon Presents on Pokémon Day 2022, is titled “Pokémon: Hisuian Snow” and is slated to premiere on May 18, 2022, exclusively on the official Pokémon YouTube channel and Pokémon TV.

The Hisui region was originally explored in the Pokémon Legends: Arceus video game and represents the Sinnoh region of old—before the existence of Pokémon Trainers and Pokémon Leagues. “Pokémon: Hisuian Snow” is a story that takes place during this ancient age when the relationship between people and Pokémon was very different. Aboard a boat bound for the Hisui region, the protagonist Alec reminisces about the first time his father took him there. Over the span of three episodes, “Pokémon: Hisuian Snow” will go into detail about Alec’s stories from the past.

Character Details:

Viewers will meet Hisuian Pokémon and new characters in this limited web series. The Pokémon Company International has revealed initial details of key characters and Pokémon in anticipation of the premiere.

Alec
Alec is heading to the Hisui region in search of medicinal herbs. He is a mild-mannered young man who is studying to become a doctor. As a child, he once accompanied his father on a visit to the Hisui region. He had an adventurous and mischievous side to him when he was a child.

Alec’s Father
Alec’s father is a woodworker. He originally lived in a different region, but recently moved to the Hisui region to procure materials. He came to fear Pokémon after a certain incident.

Zorua (Hisuian Form)
The Spiteful Fox Pokémon who lives in the Hisui region. It is said that the lingering spirits of Zorua who were chased out of their homeland and perished have returned to life in this form, fueled by the power of their malice toward humans and Pokémon.
