Rica Matsumoto and Asuca Hayashi Make A Surprise Appearance at the "Pikachu Outbreak-chu!"!

Rica Matsumoto and Asuca Hayashi made a surprise appearance on Thursday August 10th at the Super Soaking Splash Show "Water Carnival" during the "Not-Just-Pikachu Pikachu Outbreak-chu" being held in the Yokohama Minato Mirai area.
They had come to sing the opening theme song and the ending theme song to "Pocket Monsters the Movie: I Choose You!"

There was already a huge crowd gathered around the stage set up at the Red Brick Warehouse, since the "Water Carnival" show was about to begin there.
The "Water Carnival" involves Pikachu dancing lightly along to Latin rhythms!
The audience got super soaked by the water fired from the water cannons! Everyone were in a great mood!
(The Super Soaking Splash Show "Water Carnival" is held until Tuesday August 15th)

After the "Water Carnival" ended, the audience prepared to leave, but then they suddenly heard Satoshi's voice?!
To everyone's surprise, Satoshi voice actor Rica Matsumoto appeared on stage!
The people that had started leaving spot her and make their way back to the stage as well.

Matsumoto performed "Mezase Pokémon Master -20th Anniversary-" to great cheers from the audience.
And of course, the audience started singing along as well! The audience's chorus during the music interlude isn't something anyone will forget either.
After the song was done, Matsumoto commented "I've been wanting to sing a singalong song that connects everyone from children to the elderly.
When I was told I was going to sing "MezaPoké" again, I thought "All right!""

Next, Asuca Hayashi appeared on the stage as well, to everyone's surprise!
Hayashi also did the ending theme song to "The Seven-Day Wishing Star Jirachi" 14 years ago.
When the moderator asked the audience "Did anyone here watch "The Seven-Day Wishing Star Jirachi?", lots of people raised their hands.
Hayashi then went on to perform "Chiisaki Mono" and "Oración: Let's Walk Together".
The venue got filled with a calm and mellow atmosphere.

At the end, everyone that had come to the Red Brick Warehouse took a memorial photo together, where they struck the "I Choose You!" pose!

Reports From the Special Rica Matsumoto & Asuca Hayashi Pokémon Movie Premiere Commemoration Concert & The Pokémon Fes

The special concert that brought everyone in the area together!

On Saturday July 28th, a "Special Rica Matsumoto & Asuca Hayashi Pokémon Movie Premiere Commemoration Concert" was held as part of the "Pokémon Fes I Choose You! in Sunshine City",
which is currently taking place in Sunshine City.

Prior to the concert, the area near the stage was of course completely packed with people impatiently waiting for it to start, all the way up to the third floor!

When Rica Matsumoto and Asuca Hayashi appeared, they were met with loud cheering and applauding.
And then, when Matsumoto called out "I got a Pokémon!" in Satoshi's voice, a loud "Yeah!" roared back from the audience.

The concert started with Rica Matsumoto performing "Alola!!", which acted as the opening theme song to the anime TV series "Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon",
and "Mezase Pokémon Master -20th Anniversary-", the opening theme song to this year's movie.
The audience sang along to both songs, forming a massive chorus.
After her performance, Matsumoto commented "When I was singing (Mezase Pokémon Master), I thought about how the song gives me the happy feeling I'm transcending time and space and singing it together with everyone. I want the song to stay current and not turn into some golden oldie."

Next, Hayashi sang "Chiisaki Mono", the ending theme song to "The Seven-Day Wishing Star Jirachi", followed by "The Oración Theme: Let's Walk Together", the ending theme song to this year's movie. The entire venue was deeply moved by the emotive singing made possible by her overwhelming skill. Hayashi commented "I sang this song with the intent of delivering the emotions of the fans who have loved Pokémon for 20 years."

The Pokémon Fes currently being held in Sunshine City is hot stuff!

The "Pokémon Fes I Choose You! in Sunshine City" currently taking place in Sunshine City is filled with surprising and fun activities. Lots of people have enjoyed this event so far, both children and adults included.

(Photo spots)

"I Choose You: You're the Star of the Fountain Screen Display" is a spot where you can take photos that make it look like you've entered the Pokémon world. Once you've selected the picture you want as a background and taken a picture with the dedicated camera set up there, this system will then project the composite image onto the giant screen display at the fountain plaza (photos taken here will be posted on the event's official website for one week). People have been striking all kinds of poses and enjoyed the Pokémon world.

And there's no arguing the fact that the most fun activity at the event is the "Stamp rally"!
It involves four stamp spots in the Alpa shopping center and four at the observatory, for a total of eight.
You start off by getting a stamp rally sheet and a "Satoshi's Hat Sun Visor" at the fountain plaza reception desk.
Once you gain the four points from the Alpa shopping center, you'll receive a "Pikachu Sun Visor", and if you then combine this with the sun visor you got when you started, it'll instantly turn into a "Satoshi's Pikachu Sun Visor"!

If you then collect the four stamps from the Sky Circus Sunshine 60 Observatory (*requires an additional entrance fee) and visit the special reception desk in the obervatory, you'll receive a lovely Pikachu pin badge.
If you manage to successfully get all the stamps from both the Alpa shopping center and the observatory, go to the fountain plaza reception desk!
There, you'll get a shot at a tombola where you can win extravagant prizes that serve as a reward for clearing both stamp rallies.
The super extravagant prizes include the latest toys, plushies and more! The tombola has already been spun by people that have visited all eight spots!

The observatory also contains an exhibit of the drawings by both the winners of the "Pocket Monsters the Movie: I Choose You!" drawing contest and the celebrities that participated, as well as an exhibit of famous scenes from the anime and the movies selected by 20 cast members and celebrity Pokémon fans.
When we had the celebrities choosing the scenes, they all once again sensed the history of Pokémon and their love for it as they worked on choosing different scenes than the others.

The observatory also has wonderful photo spots, among other things.
The biggest surprise is the legendary Pokémon "Houou" adorning a wall.
There's a special trick to it you'll see if you take a picture here with the flash on! Go there and see for yourself what happens.
It'll definitely surprise you, so make sure to give it a try!

The Pokémon Fes is filled with things that will let you fully enjoy the world of the movie, both before you've watched it, and of course, after you've watched it.
The "Pokémon Fes I Choose You! in Sunshine City" lasts until Thursday August 24th 2017!
