Biography
Stanium battled against Ash's Pikachu in a Pokémon World Championships ranking battle while in Vermilion City. They had a 1-on-1 battle and he was defeated by Ash's Pikachu. It thought it had won the match when it directly hit Ash's Pikachu with a Solar Beam, and no other Pokémon up until that point had been able to withstand the attack.
Its Japanese name Soshinium is a combination of Meganium and its voice actors stage name Soshina (Naoto Sasaki 佐々木直人) of the Japanese comedy duo Shimofuri Myojo.
