Episode Guide Data
As part of our on going task to get as much information as possible about the Pokemon Anime in a database form, the character bios are the next step to give viewers of the website a lot of information about the characters. While some characters will have more information to build a biography, most characters should have enough information from the episodes they are in to write at least a 3 paragraph biography. An example bio is available here. Some characters have basic or 1 paragraph bios already. Please expand upon those bios especially if the episode you are watching has important information for a character that doesn't have any bio information written about yet. Our goal it to have a minimum of 3 to 5 paragraphs of information for each character. Some characters, especially some character Pokemon may need a bit of padding to get that much but that shouldn't be too hard to do.

We are hoping to get as many people as possible to write biographies for the characters in that episode and to check to make sure the current information in the 'Character' guide tab is accurate. Bios need to be written for all "Characters" listed in the episode guide tab, which includes characters of the day, secondary characters and secondary character Pokemon, ect. Quite often secondary characters will appear in a lot of episodes. Only add major relevant information to their bios pertaining to the episodes you are assigned if that information isn't already there. Please refrain from writing episode synopsis for the characters and include only relevant information.
Episode assignments are first come first serve, so if your familiar with a block of episodes, or wish to be assigned to multiple episode blocks, please let us know. Watching the episode is required but the language you watch it in is up to you as long as you can collect the correct information. Below is the list of episodes that character bios need to be written for and who is assigned to write the bios and check the characters in the episodes. A list of the episode numbers is located here.

People working on the bios are encouraged to update their current status on this page as often as possible. Thank you for helping and we hope you'll enjoy this and other features on the website. If there is anything else you think we should collect, please suggest it.

How to Sign Up:
Post on this thread after viewing the bottom link to find a block of episodes that hasn't been filled in yet and tell us which block of episodes you'd like to do.

We are now looking for people that are willing to help out with the bios. If you are willing to help out, contact one of the staff for an episode block and/or post a reply here in the forum thread. If you could do 1 episode a day, that would be excellent. Once signed up, just start watching and post your written information to the appropriate forum thread for that episode. Also as a quick reminded, the comment tab in the episode guide is the forum thread for that episode as they are linked together.

I've updated the Forum Post setup to make the template a bit more easier for people to post stuff to the forum. If there is 1 or 2 of your favorite episodes of the series that you would be willing to do, that's fine as well. Just post in the comments thread for that episode with the information from the forum template filled in.

http://www.pocketmonsters.net/content/Character_Bios

Another example of what were looking for: http://www.pocketmonsters.net/episodes/92#Comments

We have a few new features that will show up on the character pages soon, so the more information and detail we can get from the community helping out, the better.

If you are willing to help out with the project, please post in this forum thread which episode block you are willing to do or just post away in the episode thread. The best way to get to know staff and the users here on PocketMonsters.net is to help contribute to the site. If you have visited the site and like the content we provide, this is one way you can help out and say thanks by contributing to this project. Many of the users that have participated in the community have become good friends with other users, have learned a lot more about the franchise, and have benefited in other ways.

We know a lot of fans out there have a favorite character or Pokemon and know a lot of information about them. This is a great opportunity to show people in the community just how much you know and are dedicated to a character. Also feel free to just post information about a character if you don't wish to work on a dedicated episode or episode block.

Thanks for your help.

Hope these are okay!

Movie 3: Spell of the Unown

Molly Hale: Molly Hale lived in Greenfield and was the daughter of two researchers. Her mother went missing, and her father, Spencer, later went missing as well. Spencer, however, left a box containing Unown letter tiles before he went missing. In the care of her family servants, Molly found the box and spelt the names of her loved ones. The Unown were awoken by Molly’s emotions to grant her wish. There, Entei was brought to her and quickly became a father figure to Molly, who she believed was her father because Spencer would tell her stories about Entei. Wanting a mother as well, Molly sent Entei to hypnotize Ash’s mother, Delia, and kidnap her.

After Delia snaps out of confusing, she begins to reason with Molly. Ultimately, Molly finally realizes what is happening to those around her, so Entei sacrifices himself in order to rid the Unown away. While Molly once again feels alone, she is rejoined with her father and soon later, her mother.

Spencer Hale: Spencer Hale is a wealthy and respected researcher from Greenfield that lives with his wife and their daughter, Molly. While researching the Unown, they sent him to an alternate dimension and Spencer went missing.

Schuyler: Schuyler is Spencer Hale’s assistant as well as being a fellow researcher.

Lisa: Lisa is a trainer that battled Ash. With the score 2-2, Ash’s Pikachu defeated her Quagsire. She later lent her Pokégear to Ash when he went in search of his kidnapped mother.

Movie 4: 4Ever: Celebi: Voice of the Forest

Sam: Sam is a Pokémon trainer that was sent 40 years to the future by Celebi where he befriended Ash, Misty, and Brock. He and the others team up in attempt to stop the Iron-Masked Marauder from destroying the forest by using Celebi’s powers.

Iron-Masked Marauder: The Iron-Masked Marauder is an elite officer for Team Rocket who is in search of capturing Celebi. While he claims his reason is to offer Celebi for Giovanni, his actual goal is to overthrow Giovanni and take over Team Rocket by using Celebi’s power.

Even though he’s powerful, he resorts to using Dark Balls, which easily capture Pokémon, which become brainwashed into obeying him.

Towa: As a young girl, Towa warned Sam about the dangers of the forest he was travelling through and also presented him with a loaf of bread so he wouldn’t go hungry. 40 years later when Sam returned at the same age, she recognized him still holding the bread she gave and knew Celebi was the cause.

Diana: Diana is Towa’s granddaughter. She looks identical to Towa when she was younger. She was first seen when Towa warned Ash, Misty, and Brock of the forest. As Ash, Misty, and Brock returned to Arborville with Sam, she discovered Sam’s relationship with Celebi and concluded he was sent from the past.

Butler: Butler was a scientist and magician that used to work for Team Magma. He was fired after a failed attempt to create a Groudon from fossils. Realizing he needed more power, he wanted help from the powers of Jirachi. Butler’s intentions were more evil than his girlfriend, Diane, suspected, so she tried to prevent him from hurting Jirachi when she fled with Ash, Brock, May, Max, and Jirachi. After following them via a tracking device on Diane’s van, Butler captured Jirachi and used its power. Instead of resurrecting Groudon, it instead created an evil being that was similar to it.

After begging for forgiveness, he received help to stop the fake Groudon. When the Groudon was destroyed and everyone was saved, Butler and Diane reunited and together they agreed to protect Pokémon.

Diane: Diane was Butler’s girlfriend and assistant. She didn’t approve of Butler’s alliance with Team Magma, but continued to work with him in his magic shows. When she discovered Butler’s intentions with Jirachi, she tried to protect Jirachi by running away and taking it to its home of Forina with it along with Ash, Brock, May, and Max.

Movie 7: Destiny Deoxys

Tory Lund: As a child, Tory Lund became heavily traumatized after a meteor caused a stampede of Walrein to frighten him. This fear of being close to Pokémon continued for years although he was secretly interested in them. He did, however, befriend an entity that was actually Deoxys.

Tory first met Ash accidentally when they were paired in a team battle against Rafe and Sid. As Tory had no Pokémon of his own, Ash lent his Torkoal, but Tory’s lack of experience caused the two to lose.

Professor Lund: Professor Lund is a Pokémon professor and is also Tory’s father. He intends to revive Deoxys from a fossil.

Yuko: Yuko works in a laboratory as Professor Lund’s assistant where she helps his attempt of reviving Deoxys. While she shares no family relationship to Tory, she serves as somewhat of a mother figure to him.

Rafe: Rafe is the older brother of Audrey and Kathryn. He’s a talented Pokémon trainer that competed in the Battle Tower. He’s generally calm, but can show hints of arrogance. Sid: Sid is a Pokémon trainer that competed in the Battle Tower. He became very attracted to May and consistently flirted with her, but she didn’t share the same interest in him. When Deoxys’ clones were abducting people, he sacrificed himself to save May and was taken instead. After being saved by the others, he assisted in restoring energy to the city with the help of his Blastoise.

Rebecca: Rebecca is a Pokémon trained that intended to compete in the Battle Tower, but Ash accidentally cut in front of her in the lineup. She befriended Brock, May, and Max in the audience when she began complaining over Ash’s interference. An intelligent and easily fascinated girl, Rebecca became interested in the entity of Deoxys that Tory introduced them to. Rebecca concluded that the entity and Deoxys had the same energy patterns. She assisted in restoring energy to LaRousse City.

Audrey: Audrey is a young Pokémon trainer and is Kathryn’s twin sister. The both of them are the younger sisters of Rafe. She came to LaRousse City with her siblings, Sid, and Rebecca to compete at the Battle Tower. She and Kathryn work exceptionally well as a team.

-----

Samurai (SL4): As Ash and Misty traveled through the Viridian Forest, Ash was challenged by the Samurai after interrupting Ash’s attempt at catching a wild Weedle. The Samurai was looking for Ash as he already lost to Gary and two other trainers from Pallet Town.

In the midst of battle, a swarm of Beedrill disrupted the match, angered by Ash’s battle with the Weedle. The three fled and hid in the Samurai’s cabin. There, he belittled Ash, calling him a bad trainer for leaving his Metapod behind after the Beedrill captured it.

The Samurai eventually gained respect for Ash when Ash put his safety on the line in order to save Metapod, which then evolved into Butterfree.

Seymour (SL6): Seymour is a scientist that investigated why Pokémon were behaving strangely on Mt. Moon. After discovering Team Rocket was behind it, they were sent blasting off. A.J. (SL8): A.J. runs an unofficial Pokémon gym. He owns many Pokémon, but favors his Sandshrew. He won 98 consecutive wins and was undefeated. Ash challenged him to a battle, but was defeated, ultimately making him A.J.’s 99th victory. After discovering A.J.’s vigorous training routine, Ash criticized A.J.’s methods. Brock and Misty, however, were impressed with the strength of his Pokémon.

When A.J.’s Sandshrew was stolen by Team Rocket, A.J. and the others went looking for it. After finding Team Rocket, he challenged them to a battle where he earned his 100th win. With this victory, A.J. felt ready to finally start travelling in attempts to becoming a Pokémon master.

Melanie (#10): Melanie lived in a Hidden Village where she cared for sick and injured wild Pokémon along with a Bulbasaur. After Ash and Bulbasaur worked together to protect the Pokémon from Team Rocket, Melanie suggested that Ash become it’s master since she believed the wild Pokémon were getting too comfortable being under Bulbasaur’s care.

Damian (#11): Damian was Charmander’s original owner. He abandoned it believing Charmander was too weak to be on his team of Pokémon. Upon seeing how strong Charmander was after fighting off Team Rocket, Damian requested for it to rejoin him, but Charmander ultimately decided to stick with Ash after he, Misty, and Brock took care of it during a storm.

Thanks! Staff will work over the next few days adding bios for the movie characters as it will take a little more time as they haven't been added to the database at all yet and have to be created from scratch. I've updated those Indigo characters though with the information you provided. All of them didn't have any bio info at all.

satoharu: Actually they did meet once, though not sure it had hapened yet as of your post.

Sunain: Quite frankly, I don'r care if this is a necro or not! I find the spreading of misinformation "to get people searching" appalling! Brock never called Cilan gay, and your leaving it up is absurd! I have a notion to notify your affiliates and any other channel I can go though (and I have a lot!), and see what they would think of this!

It's just a joke, Mistress Eevee. Nothing more. I highly doubt anyone would read those lines and consider them as anything but.
