A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 59)

Greetings, Trainers.
We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you. Thanks to your support, Pokémon Masters EX will reach its four-and-a-half-year mark since launch. We would like to thank all Trainers for your support up to this point.

The entire team will continue to work hard to provide you the best experiences possible, so we hope you continue to enjoy Pokémon Masters EX. In this message, we’ll discuss events and Sync Pairs for the four-and-a-half-year mark of the game.

Pokémon Masters EX 4.5 Year Celebration! Neo Champions: Honing One’s Love Is Coming!

Neo Champions: Honing One’s Love will begin on February 27, 2024! Geeta, the Top Champion of the Paldea region, arrives on Pasio. She serves as the head judge for the next Neo Champion Stadium, which Silver will participate in!

You can get exclusive Lucky Cookies from this event. These Lucky Cookies are exclusive to certain Sync Pairs, allowing them to learn a specific Lucky Skill. An Ever Pin, which lets you protect one additional effect or theme for Skill Gear, is also included in the item exchange lineup, so give the event a try and grab one.

To go along with the event, an Extreme Battle Event and a Special Battle Event where you take on Silver in his Champion outfit will also be available, so we hope you look forward to them!

Geeta & Glimmora

Geeta & Glimmora are a Poison-type Field Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Strike. One of their Passive Skills will create a Poison Zone and raise their Attack by six stat ranks the first time they enter a battle each battle. Also, except in certain circumstances, another Passive Skill of theirs makes successful hits with their Glimmora’s attack moves or Sync Move become critical hits, so they can devastate all opponents with their Mortal Spin Move and Blooming Mortal Spin Buddy Move right at the start of battle!

Their Blooming Mortal Spin Buddy Move lowers the Defense of all opponents by three stat ranks and can also create a Poison Zone. Together with their Passive Skill, that means they can turn the zone into a Poison Zone up to three times each battle.

In addition, their I’ll Guide You! Move applies the Supereffective ↑ Next effect to an ally and increases that ally’s Physical Moves ↑ Next effect by three ranks. Plus, when their attack move successfully hits, another Passive Skill of theirs increases their own Physical Moves ↑ Next effect by one rank, making them a potently powerful Sync Pair.

Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar

Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar are a Rock-type Strike Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Sprint. One of their Passive Skills causes a sandstorm the first time they enter a battle each battle. This effect also activates after they use their Sync Move for the first time and their Tyranitar becomes Mega Tyranitar.

On top of that, another Passive Skill of theirs powers up their Moves, Sync Move, and all allies’ Moves during a sandstorm, and also nullifies damage taken from a sandstorm for all allies.

Plus, their Eyes on Glory! Move raises their own Attack by six stat ranks and their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks. It can also reduce the Sync Move countdown by one during a sandstorm.

Their Massive Rock Slide Buddy Move attacks all opponents, and its power is not lowered even if there are multiple targets. It ignores Passive Skills that would reduce its damage or protect the target against a critical hit, ignores the target’s Enduring effect, and can also make the target flinch. They can also apply Johto Circle (Physical), making them an amazing fit for a Team that includes Sync Pairs from the Johto region.

A Log-in Bonus and Events to Celebrate 4.5 Years

A Log-in Bonus commemorating the four-and-a-half-year mark of the game will begin on February 27, 2024. You can get up to 3,000 Gems, and on the first day you’ll receive a Ticket for the Fair-Exclusive 5★-Select Ticket Scout, which includes Red & Snorlax, Lucas & Dialga, and Gloria & Zacian, so be sure to log in!

Also, a special co-op event will be under way at the same time, allowing you to earn Move Candy Coins and Roll Cake Coins, so don’t miss it!

Paid-Gems-Only 5★-Select Regional Poké Fair Scouts Are Coming!

Three different 5★-Select Poké Fair Scouts that can only be used with paid gems will open on February 27, 2024! These scouts will be divided into three regions each and will feature Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs that have appeared up to now, so we hope you look forward to them!

Other Updates

Starting February 29, 2024, you’ll be able to invite Skyla as a Guest to the Trainer Lodge! To invite Skyla, you’ll need to team up with Skyla & Swanna first. You can team up with Skyla & Swanna by completing Chapter 5 of the Main Story’s PML Arc, so be sure to team up with them if you haven’t yet.

Also scheduled are a Champion Stadium event where the opponents are weak to Grass-type attacks, and a High Score Event where the recommended type is Psychic.

Plus, a new story will be added to the Mysterious Stones Chapter. A part of the secret will finally be revealed, so we hope you look forward to it!

Future Plans

We plan to keep making updates so that Pokémon Masters EX continues to be a game that everyone can enjoy. In addition to new battle-related updates, including the High Score Event having two recommended types and new battle content, we’ll also bring you encounters with new Trainers, and mysteries will become clear as the Mysterious Stones Chapter gradually reaches its climax.

We’ll also keep making detailed improvements to the game’s usability, so we hope you look forward to what’s to come in Pokémon Masters EX.

What to Expect in the Next Message

Our next message is scheduled for late March. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for April. We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible. Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
