A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 60)

Greetings, Trainers.
We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you. Today, we’ll focus on details about events beginning around the end of March and the new Sync Pairs that will debut.

App Update for Late March

We’d like to share details about today’s new app updates. First off, by completing Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) of the Main Story’s PML Arc, you’ll be able to purchase a gem special at a reduced price for 24 hours only.

If you’ve already completed that chapter, the gems will become available for 24 hours after you update to the new app version, so we hope you check it out. As an update to an existing feature, you can now view ongoing Sync Pair Scouts as a list. Viewing them as a list will make it easier to select the Sync Pair Scout you want, so please give it a try.

In addition, we’ve fine-tuned the game’s usability with updates, such as adding a battle setting that lets you see your allies’ and opponents’ remaining HP as a percentage.

Story Event Researcher and Seeker Is Coming

Starting March 28, 2024, Volo and Jacq, who have just arrived on Pasio, star in Story Event Researcher and Seeker! This event serves as a prelude to the new story that will be added to the Mysterious Stones Chapter on March 31, 2024. Both Volo and Jacq will play active roles in the Mysterious Stones Chapter, so we hope you look forward to seeing them in action!

Volo & Togepi

Volo & Togepi are a Fairy-type Field Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Tech. Their Sinnoh Solidarity Trainer move increases all allies’ Physical Moves ↑ Next effect and Special Moves ↑ Next effect by one rank each, and applies Sinnoh Circle (Defensive) to the allied field of play!

Sinnoh Circle (Defensive) powers up all allies’ moves and Sync Moves by 5% and reduces all allies’ attack move and Sync Move damage taken by 10% (takes effect for both physical and special moves and Sync Moves.)

The more Sync Pairs with the Sinnoh theme you have on the allied field of play, the higher these percentages are, boosting allies’ moves and Sync Moves by a maximum of 20%, and reducing damage allies take from moves and Sync Moves by a maximum of 25%.

Also, one of their Passive Skills powers up all allies’ Sync Moves when a circle applies to the allied field of play!

In addition, their Masterful Metronome Buddy Move can activate more powerful moves than the regular Metronome can and uses four Move Gauge slots. Another one of their Passive Skills can create a Fairy Zone the first time their Togepi uses a status move each battle, making them an excellent Sync Pair for pure offensive potential!

Jacq & Farigiraf

Jacq & Farigiraf are a Psychic-type Tech Sync Pair. Their EX Role is Support. Their Experimental Stored Power Buddy Move can be activated when their stats have been raised by a total of ten stat ranks or more. Using it removes all of their stat increases, but it also increases in power the more their stats were raised when it was used, so it’s an extremely powerful move.

When their attack move hits, one of their Passive Skills raises one of their stats by two stat ranks at random: Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed, accuracy, or evasiveness. This means that by hitting twice with their Twin Beam Move, they can raise a stat by a total of four stat ranks. Plus, when their attack move is successful, another Passive Skill of theirs reduces one MP from their moves that have the Berry effect tag and raises their Sp. Atk and Sp. Def by two stat ranks, making it possible to raise their stats by up to eight stat ranks all at once!

If their stats have been raised, their There You Have It! Trainer move can double how much they’ve been raised, so use it wisely and unleash major damage with their Buddy Move!

Also, by teaming up with Volo & Togepi, you’ll be able to invite Volo as a Guest to the Trainer Lodge! Not only that, but you’ll get a Togepi photo frame that you can use with the Photo Creator by teaming up with Volo & Togepi, so we hope you try adding them to your team.

Other Events and Updates

A Legendary Gauntlet, the return of the Unova Chapter Villain Event, and the addition of a new Ultimate Battle are scheduled for the first half of April.

In addition, a Champion Stadium event in which the opponents are weak to Fire-type attacks will begin on April 8, 2024, so we hope you start preparing your Sync Pairs and step up to the challenge.

What to Expect in the Next Message

Our next message is scheduled for late April. In it, we plan to share information about new Sync Pairs and events for May.

We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.

Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
