The concentration of Mega-Evolved Pokémon at this year’s GO Tour is rising rapidly! Mega Victreebel* and Mega Malamar* will make their Pokémon GO debuts during Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos! All Trainers can take on these two newly discovered Mega-Evolved Pokémon during the epic global event!

During Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global, Trainers can take on Mega Raids with Mega Victreebel on February 28 and Mega Malamar on March 1, 2026!

Shiny Diancie makes its Pokémon GO debut!

For the first time in Pokémon GO, Trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Diancie! Trainers who purchase a ticket for Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global will receive Masterwork Research that leads to an encounter with Shiny Diancie.

*Masterwork Research does not expire, so you can complete it at your own pace!

During Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global, you’ll be able to encounter some stylish Pikachu wearing Calem’s hat or Serena’s hat. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!

All Trainers can look forward to an increased chance of encountering Shiny costumed Pikachu, Shiny Chespin, Shiny Fennekin, and Shiny Froakie in the wild during the event.

Shiny Honedge, Shiny Hawlucha, and Shiny Klefki will make their global Pokémon GO debuts during Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global!

Honedge will appear in one-star raids during the event, and Klefki and Hawlucha will hatch from 10 km Eggs during the event. Plus, all Trainers will have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Klefki and Shiny Hawlucha!

New Special Backgrounds!

Trainers who participate in raids during Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global will have a chance of receiving new Special Backgrounds after making a successful catch. These souvenir backgrounds will appear on the Pokémon’s summary page, showing when the Pokémon was caught and commemorating your adventures during Pokémon GO Tour!

Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global will feature three Special Backgrounds for you to collect—one inspired by Pokémon X, one inspired by Pokémon Y, and one inspired by Mega Evolution!

Pikachu wearing Calem’s hat, Pikachu wearing Serena’s hat, Honedge, and Xerneas can have a background inspired by Pokémon X.

Pikachu wearing Calem’s hat, Pikachu wearing Serena’s hat, Honedge, and Yveltal can have a background inspired by Pokémon Y.

All Pokémon caught from Mega Raids can have a background inspired by Mega Evolution.

Event-themed Pokémon will appear in the wild!

Event-themed Pokémon will appear in three unique habitats during the event.

Central Village: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. local time
Mountain Manor: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time
Coastal Laboratory: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

Research Ticket Holder Exclusive

The mega conclusion to Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos! It’s time for a finale of mega proportions! After kicking off the adventures during the real-world Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos events in Tainan and Los Angeles, it’s time for Trainers around the world to band together. Through intense battles, exciting encounters, and breakthrough discoveries, can you uncover exciting new ways to understand and master Mega Evolution?

In this branching Special Research, you’ll choose to pursue either the X Version medal or the Y Version medal. Trainers who complete their event Special Research will receive an encounter with a Xerneas that has a Special Background inspired by Pokémon X or an Yveltal that has a Special Background inspired by Pokémon Y, depending on the medal you choose!

Trainers who attend the Tainan and Los Angeles events can also purchase the global event ticket and receive a different Special Research to complete during Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global.

Ticket Holder Exclusive - Take part in some trim-mendous Timed Research!

A new Timed Research experience will be available to ticket-holding Trainers, awarding encounters with Furfrou, the Poodle Pokémon!

Depending on your location, you’ll be able to select a trim and change Furfrou into that trim for the remainder of the event! Normally, Furfrou can only change its trim in certain areas around the world or during special events, so take this opportunity to try out a new look!

  • In the Americas: Star Trim, Diamond Trim, La Reine Trim, Kabuki Trim, or Pharoah Trim
  • In Europe, the Middle East, and Africa: Star Trim, Debutante Trim, La Reine Trim, Kabuki Trim, or Pharoah Trim
  • In the Asia-Pacific region: Diamond Trim, Debutante Trim, La Reine Trim, Kabuki Trim, or Pharoah Trim
  • In France: Star Trim, Debutante Trim, Kabuki Trim, or Pharoah Trim
  • In Japan: Diamond Trim, Debutante Trim, La Reine Trim, or Pharoah Trim
  • In Egypt: Star Trim, Debutante Trim, La Reine Trim, or Kabuki Trim

Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with these Timed Research opportunities must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before 6:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, March 1, 2026. You will be able to change Furfrou into your chosen trim until 11:59 p.m. local time on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Follow these steps to change Furfrou’s trim.

  • Find Furfrou in your Pokémon Storage, tap it to check its summary, and then tap the Change Form button to bring up a menu that lists the available trims.
  • Select your preferred trim.
  • Changing your Furfrou from one trim to any other trim will cost 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust.

Bonuses and Features

Exclusive in-game bonuses for all Trainers! All Trainers will receive the following bonuses and rewards between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m local time on event days!
  • Mega-Evoolved Pokémon will receive a CP boost.
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event.

All Trainers will also receive the following bonuses and rewards between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m local time on event days!

  • Up to six Special Trades per day.
  • 1/2 Stardust cost for trades.

Ticket Holder Exclusive - Even more bonuses for ticket-holding Trainers!

Ticket holding Trainers will also receive the following bonuses and rewards between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m local time on event days!

  • Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon.*
  • One GO Snapshot surprise event encounter per day—when taking snapshots during the event, Latias may appear on Saturday and Latios may appear on Sunday!

*Ticket-holding Trainers will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pokémon. Shiny Pokémon are not guaranteed by purchasing a ticket.

Get out and explore some Routes!

Flabébé* will appear more frequently on Routes throughout the city during Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global!

Red Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
Blue Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Asia-Pacific region
Yellow Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Americas

If you’re lucky, you might encounter White Flower Flabébé and Orange Flower Flabébé, no matter what region you’re in. Plus, you can collect Zygarde Cells and encounter Mateo at the end of up to 25 Routes per day!
