The Pokémon Company held a kickoff event titled Pokémon 30th Anniversary Begins on Thursday, February 26th, 2026, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of Pokémon Red and Green on February 27th, 1996.

On the day of the event, Takato Utsunomiya, Representative Director and COO of The Pokémon Company, delivered a message commemorating the 30th anniversary and shared the company's future outlook. He also announced initiatives celebrating the 30th anniversary in collaboration with All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd., the Japanese Olympic Committee, and the 12 teams from Nippon Professional Baseball.

Guests included Mizuki Yamamoto, Mahiro Takasugi, Yuno Nagao, and comedian Jumbo Takao from Rainbow and Naoto Ikeda. The event featured talk sessions about favorite Pokémon and content reflecting on memories from the release dates using a giant timeline spanning Pokémon's 30-year history. A specially designed commemorative cake celebrating the 30th anniversary also appeared toward the end of the event.

The 30th anniversary year features special projects themed around "verbs" to enjoy the Pokémon world!

Utsunomiya, COO: "We're preparing projects that both newcomers to Pokémon and those returning after a long time can enjoy."

At the opening of the presentation, Representative Director and COO Utsunomiya took the stage. He expressed gratitude for reaching the 30th anniversary and commented on the journey thus far: "The fact that Pokémon has continued to be loved without fading over all these years is thanks to the support of fans around the world, as well as the media and the partners gathered here today."


Following this, they introduced the commemorative logos symbolizing the 30th anniversary, featuring all 1,025 Pokémon species that have appeared to date. Utsunomiya explained the sentiment behind the logos: "Every Pokémon is someone's ‘favorite Pokémon’ and an irreplaceable partner. With gratitude and respect for all these Pokémon and everyone who has supported them, we will celebrate this anniversary with all these logos this year." Utsunomiya then announced the development strategy for the entire 30th anniversary year. Setting "verbs" as the theme, he revealed plans to launch initiatives that allow fans to enjoy the Pokémon world together. The first theme is "Begins". Utsunomiya expressed his expectations for the anniversary year, stating, "To kick off the project, we will prepare an entry point where both newcomers to Pokémon and those returning after a long time can enjoy starting right now."

Additionally, they unveiled major collaborations commemorating Pokémon's 30th anniversary with AEON MALL, Suntory, and Yahoo! Japan. Each will feature year-round content. With AEON MALL, they plan to roll out family-friendly initiatives at malls nationwide. With Suntory, they will collaborate to bring Pokémon into everyday moments through beverages that enrich our lives. With Yahoo! Japan, they plan to prepare special content celebrating both companies' 30th anniversaries. Utsunomiya stated, "I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to our partner companies.", thanking each company. Details of these initiatives will be announced at a later date.

Collaborative Initiatives Announced with All Nippon Airways, the Japanese Olympic Committee, and the 12 Japanese Professional Baseball Teams

Following the opening remarks, a collaborative initiative commemorating the 30th anniversary was introduced, conducted in partnership with All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA), the Japan Olympic Committee (JOC), and the 12 teams of Nippon Professional Baseball.

ANA

Keiji Omae, Customer Experience and Head of the CX Promotion Office at All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA), took the stage. He announced the launch of three Pokémon-themed aircraft as part of the 30th anniversary initiatives and unveiled the ANA × Pokémon 30th Anniversary logo for the first time. Regarding this collaboration, Mr. Omae stated, "Together with Pokémon, our ultimate partner, we will color exciting travel memories across Japan and around the world in 2026. Please look forward to ANA's new Pokémon Jets." He expressed his anticipation for delivering a special experience combining Pokémon and air travel.

JOC

Yuki Ota took the stage on behalf of the Japan Olympic Committee (JOC). He announced that Pokémon will become a JOC Kids Sports Ambassador to commemorate Pokémon's 30th anniversary. He spoke about how the JOC resonated with Pokémon, which has expanded its initiatives for children enjoying sports, working with organizations like the Japan Football Association, Japan Tennis Association, All Japan Ski Federation, and the Japan Skating Federation. Alongside existing ambassadors Aceburn (soccer) and Nyahoja (tennis), four new sports ambassadors were unveiled: Dageki (karate) and Negigaknight (fencing).


Mr. Ota stated, "In 2026, the year of Pokémon's 30th anniversary and the Asian Games, we hope to energize the atmosphere together with Pokémon and sports. We ask for your support." He expressed the intention to energize both Pokémon's 30th anniversary and the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games through the collaboration of Pokémon and sports.

Finally, a special 30th anniversary project with Japan's 12 professional baseball teams, Pokémon Baseball Festa 2026, was also announced. This time, it will be a collaboration involving all 12 teams, transcending team and league boundaries. As a symbol of the project, Pikachu wearing the uniforms of all 12 teams will appear at each stadium. It was also revealed that 12 different Pokémon, selected based on each team's unique vision, will be feature in key visuals and original merchandise. Subsequently, Pikachu wearing the actual uniforms of all 12 teams appeared at the venue, drawing huge cheers from the crowd.
Additionally, a congratulatory video message from Yomiuri Giants pitcher Masahiro Tanaka was shown. He stated, "I feel like I grew up alongside Pokémon from my childhood, and now I even play with my own kids. I truly believe it has been loved for a very long time. I'm thrilled that Pokémon and professional baseball are teaming up this time, allowing us to share the appeal of both baseball and Pokémon together." His message celebrated Pokémon's 30th anniversary and expressed his anticipation for the collaborative initiatives between Nippon Professional Baseball and Pokémon.

A timeline talk reflecting on Pokémon's 30th anniversary was held.

Midway through the event, special guests actress Mizuki Yamamoto, actor Mahiro Takasugi, actress Yuno Nagao, Jumbo Takao and Naoto Ikeda took the stage. When asked about Pokémon's 30th anniversary, Yamamoto commented, "I was shocked to hear it's the 30th anniversary! I was 4 years old when it started, so it was right around when the anime began. I clearly remember the kids around me buzzing about how the Pokémon anime was about to start." When asked about the special tie-up campaign commemorating the 30th anniversary, Ikeda expressed his anticipation for the anniversary year, saying, "What I love about Pokémon is that moment when you think, 'They're using Pokémon here!' With the ANA collaboration, I also want to pay attention to those moments where you think, 'Pokémon are even here too!'"

Timeline Talk

Next, they held a talk session looking back on Pokémon's 30-year history and the guests' memories from that time. When asked about his impressions of the landmark first game, Pokémon Red and Green, released in February 1996, Yamamoto-san said, "I was four years old then, but I couldn't play games yet, so I often watched my dad and mom getting hooked on it. I started playing Pokémon later, and my parents would help me level up my Pokémon." When a photo of a slightly goofy-looking Yamamoto from that time was shown, he shared, "I don't remember this, but seeing this photo, I realize I was quite the joker back then. I always made this kind of face for photos, haha."

Later that same year, in October, the Pokémon Trading Card game was released. In 1997, the TV anime Pocket Monsters began airing, and the following year saw the theatrical releases of the anime films Pocket Monsters the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back and Pikachu's Summer Vacation. Then, the following year, 1999, saw the release of the Game Boy games Pokémon Gold and Silver. Regarding this period, Mr. Ikeda shared, "In 1999, I was six years old. The first movie I saw in theaters, the manga, the anime—everything was Pokémon. The first game I ever bought was Pocket Monsters Silver. I chose Hinoarashi as my very first Pokémon, got stuffed toys, and my life began alongside Pokémon."

Then, in November 2002, Pocket Monsters Ruby and Sapphire were released for the Game Boy Advance. Takasugi-san shared memories of Pocket Monsters Ruby and Sapphire, saying, "I was in around first or second grade at the time. The first game I got was for the Game Boy Advance. I had Sapphire and my younger brother had Ruby, and we played together every day, completely absorbed in Pokémon." Takasugi-san showed us a photo from his entrance ceremony when he was six years old, saying, "This is from my entrance ceremony. I think it was right after I got Pokémon."

Following that, from 2006 to 2013, Pokémon released titles like Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl, Pocket Monsters Black and White, and Pocket Monsters X and Y. In August 2009, the first official Pokémon Trading Card Game tournament, the Pokémon World Championships 2009, was held. Reflecting on those memories, Mr. Ikeda said, "What's amazing about Pokémon is how it lets you remember the friends you played with. I loved Fire-type Pokémon and always chose them. I remember playing with friends like we were rivals, saying things like, 'Once we beat this Gym Leader, let's battle each other again!'” When photos from Rainbow's formation days were displayed on screen, Jumbo recalled, "I was over 30kg lighter back then. Ikeda-kun was getting all the girls' attention, but the moment he teamed up with me, his fanbase dropped to zero—it was hilarious!" His story drew laughter from the audience.

Following that, Pokémon UNITE launched in 2021, Pokémon Sleep in 2023, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket in 2024. Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A was released in 2025, and this year saw the long-awaited opening of Pokémon Park KANTO. When asked about recent Pokémon news, Yamamoto expressed his excitement for Pokémon Park KANTO: "I really want to go to Pokémon Park Kanto. I see so much information about it on social media, which makes me want to go even more. But I'm trying not to look at too much information so I can enjoy it without spoiling it."

Celebration Cake

Following this, a special cake celebrating Pokémon's 30th anniversary made its grand entrance amid the guests' cheers of "Happy 30th Anniversary, Pokémon!" The commemorative cake featured designs of many Pokémon, including the Cream Pokémon Mawhip. Upon seeing it, Jumbo-san delivered an imaginative food review: "It must be delicious, a sweetness with depth yet restraint, spreading an incredibly happy flavor across your palate~", enveloping the venue in laughter.

Favorite Pokémon

Towards the end, the guests engaged in a talk segment where they guessed each other's favorite Pokémon. Takasugi-san's favorite Pokémon is Flygon. When asked why he likes Flygon, Takasugi-san passionately explained, "It's been my favorite since I was a kid. I first encountered Flygon in Sapphire and fell in love at first sight with its design. It's my partner!"

Yamamoto-san shared that he loves for Pupurin saying,"It's just so adorable, and those three puffy bits on its head are cute too. There's a field in the game full of Pupurin, and I worked hard taking pictures there.", expressing his affection.

Next, Nagao-san revealed his favorite Pokémon is Kanuchan explaining why: "Kanuchan can be a crybaby sometimes, but her hardworking nature is incredibly cute and makes you want to cheer her on." Then, Jumbo-san confessed, "Yadon is my absolute favorite!" He shared, "When I was in elementary school, I loved Kamex and Mewtwo, but as an adult, I feel a connection with Yadon. Its form resembles mine, and I find it adorable."

Finally, Ikeda-san spoke about his lifelong favorite Hinoarashi, saying, "It was the very first partner I chose for my journey. My Pokémon journey started with Hinoarashi, and even now, a life-sized Hinoarashi plushie sits beside my bed at home. I say 'Good morning' to Hinoarashi every day. I like to think we have an unbreakable bond."

Finally, using a new feature that lets you take photos with your favorite Pokémon from Pokémon GO, we saw a moment where Ikeda, acting as photographer, took a picture of Takasugi and Nagao together with Kanuchan. When asked about his impressions of this presentation, Ikeda stated, "No matter what era you look at, Pokémon's ability to make you remember your life at that time is truly amazing. Happy 30th Anniversary! The 30th anniversary logo made with all Pokémon was incredible, and it made me realize once again just how wonderful Pokémon truly is."

Jumbo also commented, "It's amazing that Pokémon serves as a common topic for people of all ages and nationalities! I hope everyone around the world continues to enjoy it together."

Nagao shared their excitement for Pokémon's 30th anniversary, saying, "With the 30th anniversary kicking off, I think there will be lots of exciting announcements, and I'm really looking forward to them. I hope everyone else is excited too!"

Takasugi commented, commented, "As a fan, I'm incredibly happy to be here and experience this moment! I'm really looking forward to continuing to grow together with Pokémon, which is loved by people of all ages, while never forgetting my childlike spirit."

Yamamoto-san expressed his love for Pokémon, saying, "I'm truly delighted to be standing here today. I want to savor the happiness of growing older with Pokémon over the next year, the next two years, and beyond, and enjoy this 30th anniversary even more from here on out."

株式会社ポケモン（本社：東京都港区、代表取締役社長・CEO：石原恒和）は、1996年2月27日に『ポケットモンスター 赤・緑』が発売されてから30周年を迎えることを記念し、2026年2月26日（木）に「ポケモン30周年、はじまる」キックオフ発表会を開催いたしました。

当日は、株式会社ポケモン 代表取締役COO 宇都宮崇人より、30周年を迎えてのご挨拶と今後の展望についてご紹介しました。また、全日本空輸株式会社、公益財団法人日本オリンピック委員会、日本プロ野球12球団との30周年を記念した取り組みについても発表しました。

ゲストには山本美月さん、高杉真宙さん、永尾柚乃さん、お笑い芸人レインボーのジャンボたかおさんと池田直人さんをお迎えし、好きなポケモンにまつわるトークセッションや、ポケモン30年の歴史を巨大な年表で発売当時の作品との思い出を振り返るコンテンツも実施。会終盤には、30周年をお祝いするスペシャルデザインの記念ケーキも登場しました。 30周年イヤーは「動詞」をテーマにポケモンの世界を楽しむ特別企画を展開！ 宇都宮COO「ポケモンに新しく入る方、久しぶりに戻る方にも楽しんでいただける企画をご用意します」

発表会冒頭、代表取締役COO宇都宮が登壇し、30周年を迎えることに感謝の言葉を述べるとともに、これまでの歩みについて「この長い歳月、ポケモンが色褪せることなく愛され続けてきたことは、世界中のファンの皆様、そして本日お集まりのメディアやパートナーの皆様のご支援あってのことです」とコメントしました。

その後、30周年を象徴する記念ロゴをこれまで登場したポケモン1,025種類全てのパターンで制作したことを紹介。宇都宮は「どのポケモンも、誰かにとっての『一番好きなポケモン」であり、かけがえのないパートナーです。すべてのポケモンたちと、それを支えてきていただいた皆様への感謝と敬意を込め、今年はこれら全てのロゴと共に、アニバーサリーを盛り上げてまいります」とロゴに込めた思いを説明しました。続けて宇都宮は、30周年イヤーの1年間を通じた展開方針を発表。「動詞」をテーマに設定し、ファンとともにポケモンの世界を楽しむ企画を展開していくことを明らかにしました。一つ目のテーマは「はじまる」で、宇都宮は「プロジェクトの皮切りとなるべく、ポケモンに新しく入る方にも、久しぶりに戻る方にも楽しんでいただける、『今、ここから始められる」入り口をご用意します」と30周年イヤーへの期待を語りました。

また、ポケモン30周年を記念した大型コラボレーションとして、イオンモール、サントリー、 Yahoo! Japanとの取り組みを初公開。いずれも年間を通したコンテンツとなり、イオンモールとは、全国のモールにてご家族で楽しめる取り組みを展開していただく予定で、サントリーとは、私たちの生活に潤いを与えてくれる飲料を通じて、日常のふとした瞬間にポケモンを感じられるようなコラボレーションを実施していただき、Yahoo! 主催挨拶の後には、全日本空輸株式会社（ANA）、公益財団法人日本オリンピック委員会（JOC）、日本プロ野球12球団とともに実施される30周年を記念したタイアップ施策について紹介されました。

＜ANA＞
全日本空輸株式会社（ANA）より上席執行役員 CX推進室長 大前圭司氏が登壇し、30周年記念施策としてポケモンジェット3機体の就航を発表したほか、ANA × ポケモン30周年ロゴを初公開しました。大前氏は本取り組みについて「ポケモンという最高のパートナーと共に、2026年ワクワクする旅の思い出を日本中、世界中で彩ってまいります。ANAの新しいポケモンジェットにぜひご期待ください」とコメントし、ポケモンと空の旅を組み合わせた特別な体験を届けることへの期待を語りました。

＜JOC＞
公益財団法人日本オリンピック委員会（JOC）からは太田雄貴氏が登壇。ポケモン30周年を記念して、ポケモンがJOCキッズスポーツアンバサダーに就任することを発表。日本サッカー協会や日本テニス協会、全日本スキー連盟、日本スケート連盟など、スポーツを楽しむ子どもたちに向けた取り組みを広げてきたポケモンと共鳴したことを語りました。「エースバーン」（サッカー）や「ニャオハ」（テニス）に加え、新たに「ダゲキ」（空手）、「ネギガナイト」（フェンシング）の4競技の応援ポケモンを先行で公開しました。
太田氏は「ポケモン30周年、そしてアジア大会も開催される2026年、ポケモンたちとスポーツで一緒に盛り上げていければと思いますので、応援よろしくお願いします」と述べ、ポケモン30周年、そして愛知・名古屋アジア大会が開催される2026年を、ポケモンとスポーツで一緒に盛り上げる表明を行いました。

＜NPB＞
最後に、日本プロ野球12球団との30周年記念特別企画「ポケモンベースボールフェスタ2026」も発表。今回は球団やリーグの垣根を超えた「全12球団」とのコラボ施策となり、プロジェクトを象徴する存在として「12球団のユニフォームを着たピカチュウ」がそれぞれの球場に登場するほか、各球団それぞれの思いによって選ばれた12種類のポケモンたちがキービジュアルやオリジナルグッズとなることも明らかにしました。その後、会場には実際に12球団それぞれのユニフォームを着用したピカチュウが登場し、会場は大きな歓声に包まれました。

また、読売ジャイアンツの田中将大選手からのお祝いコメント映像も上映され、「僕自身も子供のころからポケモンと共に大きくなってきたと思っていて、今では子供たちと一緒に遊んだりもしていて、本当に長く愛されていると思っています。今回ポケモンとプロ野球がタッグを組むということで、野球とポケモンの魅力を一緒に発信できることをうれしく思います」とポケモン30周年を祝福し、日本プロ野球とポケモンによるコラボ施策への期待感を露わにするメッセージが届けられました。

会中盤には、スペシャルゲストとして俳優の山本美月さん、高杉真宙さん、永尾柚乃さんと、お笑い芸人のレインボーのジャンボたかおさんと池田直人さんが登壇しました。ポケットモンスターが30周年を迎えたことについて聞かれた山本さんは「30周年と聞いてびっくりしました！私が4歳の時からなので、ちょうどアニメが始まったあたりで、周りの子がポケモンのアニメ始まるらしいよとざわついていたのをよく覚えています」とコメントしました。また、30周年を記念した特別タイアップ施策について聞かれたレインボーの池田さんは「ポケモンの好きなところが、このポケモンをここで使うの！というところです。ANAとのコラボでも、こんなところにもポケモンがいるんだ！という部分にも注目したいなと思いました」と30周年イヤーへの期待感を語りました。

＜年表トーク＞
続けて、ポケモン30周年の歴史とゲストのみなさんの当時の思い出を振り返るトークセッションを実施しました。1996年2月に発売された記念すべきゲーム第一作目である『ポケットモンスター 赤・緑』の印象について聞かれた山本さんは「私が4歳の時だったのですが、この時はまだゲームができなかったので父と母がハマってやっているのをよく見ていました。私はこの後からポケモンを始めたのですが、レベル上げを親に手伝ってもらっていました」と語り、当時の少しおちゃらけた様子の山本さんの写真が映し出されると「記憶がなくてこんな写真があったんだって感じですが、見て分かるようにお調子者でした、毎回こんな顔をして写真を撮っていました笑」と当時の思い出について聞かせてくれました。

その後、同年10月にポケモンカードが発売され、1997年にはテレビアニメ「ポケットモンスター」が放送開始し、翌年には劇場版アニメ「劇場版 ポケットモンスター ミュウツーの逆襲」、「ピカチュウのなつやすみ」が公開されました。そして翌年1999年はゲームボーイソフト「ポケットモンスター 金・銀」が発売され年であり、このあたりの年について池田さんは「1999年は6歳で、初めて劇場で見た映画も、漫画もアニメもすべてポケモンでした。初めて買ってもらったゲームも『ポケットモンスター銀』で、一番初めのポケモンでヒノアラシを選び、ぬいぐるみも買ってもらって、ポケモンと共に始まった人生でした」

続いて、2002年11月にはゲームボーイアドバンスソフトとして「ポケットモンスター ルビー・サファイア」が発売。「ポケットモンスター ルビー・サファイア」は思い出深いという高杉さんは、「当時が小学校1、2年生ぐらいで、初めて買ってもらったゲームがゲームボーイアドバンスで、僕がサファイア、弟がルビーを持って一緒に遊んでいました。弟と毎日ポケモンに夢中になっていました」と思い出を聞かせてくれました。当時は6歳で入学式の写真を見せてくれた高杉さんは「これは入学式の時で、ポケモンを買ってもらった直後だと思います」と語ってくれました。

その後ポケモンからは、2006年から2013年にかけ「ポケットモンスター ダイヤモンド・パール」や「ポケットモンスターブラック・ホワイト」、「ポケットモンスター Ｘ・Ｙ」が発売され、2009年 8月にはポケモンカード初の公式大会「ポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップス2009」が開催されました。当時の思い出について池田さんは「一緒にやった友達思い出せるのがポケモンのすごいところだと感じます。僕は炎タイプが好きで、毎回、炎タイプのポケモンを選ぶんですけど、友達とライバルごっこみたいな感じで、ここのジムリーダーまで倒したらもう1回一緒に戦おうよみたいな、思い出がありますね」とコメントしました。会場にレインボー結成当時の写真が映し出されると、ジャンボさんは「今よりも30kg以上痩せていますね。池田君はこのころ女の子にキャーキャー言われていたのですが、私と組んだ瞬間にファンが０人になるという事件がありました笑」と当時の思い出を語り、会場も笑いに包まれました。

2016年にはスマホアプリゲーム『Pokémon GO』が配信開始し、2019年にハリウッド映画「名探偵ピカチュウ」が公開されました。4歳の時に映画「名探偵ピカチュウ」を観てポケモンを知ったという永尾さんは、当時も今と変わらないかわいらしい写真を見せてくれました。映画との思い出を聞かれた永尾さんは「『名探偵ピカチュウ』と出会って色々なポケモンを知って、大好きになりました」とポケモンを好きになったきっかけを振り返ってくれました。その後永尾さんの当時の写真が映し出され「髪をピカチュウみたいに結んでもらった時の写真なのですが、ピカチュウの耳みたいになりませんでした笑」と当時の思い出を教えてくれました。

その後2021年には「Pokémon UNITE」が、2023年には「Pokémon Sleep」、2024年には「Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket」が配信開始されたほか、2025年には「Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A」が発売、今年は待望の『ポケパーク カントー』が開業されました。直近のポケモンの話題について聞かれた山本さんは「『ポケパーク カントー』に本当に行きたくて、SNSで情報もたくさん流れてくるので行きたい気持ちが高まっているのですが、あまり情報を入れすぎないようにして新鮮な気持ちで楽しめるようにしています」とポケパークへの期待感を露わにしました。

＜お祝いケーキ＞
その後、ゲストの皆さんの「ポケモン30周年おめでとー！」という掛け声とともに、ポケモン30周年をお祝いするスペシャルケーキが登場。記念ケーキにはクリームポケモンの「マホイップ」などたくさんのポケモンがデザインされており、それを見たジャンボさんは「甘さが深みもあって、それでいて控えめで、すごい幸せな味が口に広がっておいしいんでしょうね～」と妄想の食レポを披露し、会場も笑い包まれました。

＜好きなポケモン＞
終盤には、ゲストのみなさんがお互いの好きなポケモンを予想しあうトークを実施。高杉さんの好きなポケモンは「フライゴン」で、フライゴンが好きな理由を聞かれた高杉さんは「幼いころからずっと変わらなくて、サファイアの時に、フライゴンに出会って一目惚れでデザインが好きで、僕の相棒です！」と熱く語りました。山本さんは「ププリン」が好きだと話し、「見るからにボリュームが可愛くて、頭の3つのぷくぷくもかわいいです。ゲームの中でププリンがいっぱいいる野原があって、そこで頑張って写真を撮っていました」と「ププリン」への愛を語りました。続いて、永尾さんが好きなポケモンは「カヌチャン」で、好きになった理由について「カヌチャンは泣き虫のところもあるんですけど、頑張り屋さんなところがすごく可愛いし、応援したくなります」と話してくれました。続いてジャンボさんは「ヤドンが一番好きです！」と告白。「小学生の時はカメックスとかやミュウツーが大好きだったのですが、大人になってシンパシーを感じて、自分とフォルムが似ていて可愛らしくて好きです」と語ってくれました。最後に池田さんは子どもの頃から変わらずに一番好きだという「ヒノアラシ」について「1番最初に旅に選んだパートナーで、僕のポケモンはヒノアラシから始まって、今も家に等身大のヒノアラシのぬいぐるみがベッドの横にあって、毎日ヒノアラシと『おはよう』をしています。切っても切れない関係性だなと勝手に思っています」と「ヒノアラシ」への愛を語ってくれました。

最後には、『Pokémon GO』の好きなポケモンと一緒に写真撮影できる新機能を使用して、池田さんをフォトグラファーに高杉さんと永尾さんのお二人で「カヌチャン」と一緒に撮影する瞬間も見られました。池田さんは今回の発表会について感想を聞かれると「どの時代を見てもその当時の自分の人生を思い出させてくれるポケモンの存在がすごいなと思いました。30周年おめでとうございます！全ポケモンで作った30周年のロゴがすごくて、改めてポケモンってなんて素晴らしいんだと思いました」と述べ、ジャンボさんも「年齢や国籍が違っても、共通の話題としてポケモンがあることがすごい！これからも全世界みんなで楽しんでいきたい」とコメントしました。永尾さんは「30周年がスタートするということで、いろいろなワクドキなお知らせもあると思うので、私もすごく楽しみにしています。皆さんもぜひ楽しみにしてください」とポケモン30周年への期待感を話してくれました。高杉さんは「1ファンとしてこの場にいれてこういう場を迎えられてとても嬉しいです！老若男女問わず愛されているポケモンとともに、これからも少年心を忘れずに一緒に成長していけることがすごく楽しみです」とコメント。山本さんは「今日この場に立たせていただき、本当に嬉しく思っております。これからまた1年、2年とポケモンと一緒に年を重ねていける幸せを嚙みしめながら、この30周年をこれからもっと楽しんでいきたいなと思います」とポケモンへの愛を語りました。
