In a dark room is a scientist. He presses a button and a robot heads for a town. A guy looks into his telescope and he sees the robot heading towards them. He bangs on the bell to alert the villagers. A group of people are formed. The people hold rakes, shovels, and other items used for weapons. They head out of their town to take down the robot. A young woman looks out and prays that they will be okay.

Team Rocket falls from the sky and they land on the ground. Just then, the people head up towards them and they stop when the reach Team Rocket. The same woman takes a look at Team Rocket and says that they are here to save them. Team Rocket huddles up and then they say that she has the wrong person. The woman looks at their uniforms and she says that they are from Team Raichus. She asks them to help protect their town. Team Rocket says their motto and the woman thinks that they are superheroes.

Suddenly, the robot comes towards them. Team Rocket thinks that the robot protects their town and they plan to destroy it. Jessie sends out her Arbok and James sends out his Weezing. Weezing uses Smokescreen on the robot and Arbok uses Poison Sting. The robot takes no damage from the attacks and it continues to head for them. Meowtht trips and falls to the ground. The robot heads closer and closer to Meowth. Suddenly, the robot stops and it takes out a watering can and waters a flower. Team Rocket attacks the robot and the robot falls to the ground. The villagers still think that they are heroes and they thank them for saving their lives.

At the church, a projection is shown and Team Rocket are presented with a banquet. A short clip is shown on how Team Raichus saves the towns people. When the projection is over, the woman introduces herself as Kate. Jessie, James, and Meowth introduce themselves to Kate. Kate tells them that she is their biggest fans and James blushes. Kate tells them that robots have been trying to take their crops away and Team Rocket realizes that they accidently saved the day by destroying the robot. She tells them a story about how a man moved in and started to send robots to destroy their town. Jessie agrees to help them and she tells James and Meowth that once they save them, they will make the town a forretress.

Team Rocket rides in their Meowth vehicle up the hill with the villagers following them. Team Rocket senses that their is bad trouble ahead and they stop. A robot comes out of the house and walks towards them. The scientist from inside presses another button and a ramp pops out from the robot. A bunch of little robots come out on the ramp with flowers. The little robots surround Team Rocket. Jessie thinks that it's a trick and Meowth presses a button. The paw to Team Rocket's robot starts to smash the little robots. Then Meowth flips a few switches and their robot starts to smash the big robot. However, the big robot gets back up and starts to run back into the house. Team Rocket runs after it and they both are in the house of the scientist. The doors close and the villagers wonder what will happen to them.

In the house, Team Rocket plans to destroy the robot when suddenly, a man comes out telling them not to hurt the robot. The man tells them that he's a scientist and not a villian. He tells Team Rocket that he only wanted friends and that he sent robots out to help the villagers. Team Rocket has an idea. Jessie tells James and Meowth that they will tell the scientist to help build them an army. Outside the house, everyone wonders what has happened to Team Raichus.

The doors to the house open and James declares that they have captured the scientist. Everyone cheers while Team Rocket opens a compartment to their robot revealing the scientist who's name is Professor Brown. The villagers are mad at Professor Brown and they think that he must be brought to justice. James tells the villagers that Professor Brown can design some robots to help protect their town.

A flock of Taillow fly nearby and the villagers fear them thinking that the Taillow will destroy their crops. Team Rocket talks it through thinking if they should help the villagers. They decide to give it a try and they get their robot ready. Meowth locks the target and shoots out a net and the Taillow are captured. However, the Taillow peck at the net and the net breaks. They start to peck Team Rocket's robot so that Team Rocket gets out of their way. Professor Brown tells them about a special robot he has. He presses a button which reveals a robot from the roof of his house. Professor Brown presses another button and the robot launches itself off the ramp and into the air. It attaches itself to Team Rocket's robot and Team Rocket notices that they are flying.

The Taillow stop what they are doing and they go straight for Team Rocket. The Taillow all start to peck at the robot. Jessie tells Meowth to do something but Meowth says that he's out of ideas. Professor Brown appears on the big screen and he gives them special instructions. Meowth doesn't know how to do what Professor Brown said and so Professor Brown presses another button. A vacuum appears from the robot and it starts to suck in all the Taillow into a bag. The bag gets released and all the Taillow go south.

The villagers thank Professor Brown for his work. The villagers welcome Professor Brown to their group and Professor Brown is honored to be a part of it. Jessie says that they will tell the villagers that they are Team Rocket except Meowth points at something. James and Kate are talking to each other. Kate wants James to stay at the village but James can't.

Back inside the robot, James suggests that they stay at the village for a while and that they become real heroes. James then accidently pushes a button which launches Team Rocket into the air. Jessie and Meowth start to fight and Jessie accidently pulls the wheel off the robot and so they blast off again.

Everyone stares in amazement as Team Rocket flies away. The robot breaks and Team Rocket lands somewhere in the woods on a tree. They look down and they see Ash, Brock, May, and Max walking along. Team Rocket decides to forget the superhero stuff and they also decide to capture Pikachu. They say a cheer and Wobbuffet lands on the tree. Because of its weight Team Rocket falls off the branch and they land on the ground. Team Rocket then chases after Ash and his friends.
