The official Japanese Pokémon website has announced the
Sing Pikachu (うたうピカチュウ) event as part of their promotion of the popular song
Can You Say the Pokémon? BW (ポケモン言えるかな?BW) by Takeshi Tsuruno (つるの剛士). This Pikachu will know the move
Sing. The Pikachu will be distributed at '
a-nation for Life' events from July 30th, 2011 until August 28th, 2011 as well as at
Can You Say the Pokémon? BW Pokémon Heave-ho! It's Summer! It's Fine! It's Pokémon! (ポケモン言えるかな?BW ポケモンわっしょい!~夏だ!元気だ!ポケモンだ!~) events held in Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka, Sapporo and Tokyo from July 30th, 2011 until August 21th, 2011. The Pikachu is a female, Level 30 and knows the following moves:
Sing,
Teeter Dance,
Encore and
Electro Ball. It also has the Hidden Ability Lightningrod.
The Pokémon Say TAP app was released on July 15th, 2011 in Japan. The application is free to download off of the
iPhone app store and can also be
played online with a PC at the Official Japanese website. The Android version will be released later this summer. Players can tap Pokémon card type symbols to the beat of the song that are displayed on the cell phone screen to help them memorize the new 5th generation Pokémon.
