The January 2012 issue of CoroCoro has announced that a brand new Pokémon game will be revealed in next issue of CoroCoro which will be released in Japan on January 14th, 2012. Further information regarding the game was not released other than it will be a shocking announcement.

Also announced was a special alternate colored Dragon eggs event at the Pokémon Center's to commemorate year of the Dragon. Players of the Japanese versions of Pokémon Black and White can visit the Pokémon Center's and receive an egg each week for four weeks. The four distribution periods are: 1: January 6th, 2012 to January 15th, 2012, 2: January 16th, 2012 to January 22nd, 2012, 3: January 23rd, 2012 to January 29th, 2012 and 4: January 30th, 2012 to February 5th, 2012. Players will randomly receive one of six different Dragon Pokémon. The six Pokémon that will be distributed are: Tattu, Nuckrar, Tyltto, Tatsubay, Crimgan and Monozu.
