May 30 2010 Pokémon Sunday 293
Episode PictureThe latest episode of Pokémon Sunday, Usohachi King and Manene Queen!? / Group Member Yamamoto Catches a 150km/h Ball in Professor Red's 'Future Vision Box' Invention? / Group Member Akiyama's Television Battle Debut! (ウソハチキングとマネネクイーン!? / レッド博士の発明品「未来ビジョンボックス」で山本隊員が時速150kmのボールをキャッチ?/視聴者バトルに秋山隊員が登場!), aired today in Japan.

Director Golgo walks into the headquarters to see everyone standing around with a bunch of trash on the floor. Angry that the room is a mess he asks them why its so dirty. Suddenly a wind picks up and more trash appears and a newspaper hits Golgo in the face. Realizing the rest of the crew wasn't responsible for the mess he apologizes by making a pun and says "gominasai" (ごみなさい) instead of "gomennasai" (ごめんなさい). 'Gomi' is trash. Shoko then introduces this weeks theme and Red introduces the repeat episode title.

This week featured a continuation of last weeks rerun theme, 'Pikachu and Nyarth's Nice Little Talks', and Usohachi King and Manene Queen!? from Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation was this weeks repeat episode. In this episode, Usohachi, Manane, Nyarth and Pikachu get separated from everyone else after a battle in the massage tent sent them flying into the city. Will they reunite with their friends?! A full summary of this episode is available in the episode guide.

Professor Red walks into the room with his latest invention the RED 057 Future Vision Box (RED 057 未来ビジョンボックス). Red explains that it will show them the future as the 'Back to the Future' theme song which generally plays through episodes actually fit well during this scene. Red pulls out a picture of Yamamoto who is laying on the floor unconscious. Shoko-tan walks in right after with her latest creation a Rice Choco Omelet (オムチョコライス) which she feeds to Yamamoto who is reluctant to eat it. Moments later he falls over on the floor unconscious just as the picture moments earlier showed.

Robert and Lucario then head out of the headquarters with the Future Vision Box. Baba decides to try it out again and flips the switch to reveal a picture of Yamamoto dressed up as a baseball catcher with the caption that he caught a 150km/h fastball. The decide to test Yamamoto to see if he could actually catch a ball going that fast by setting up a pitching machine. On the 3rd pitch, he actually manages to catch it, once again Red's future machine was correct.

Akiyama decides to try the box again and pulls out a picture of Baba this time. On the picture it states that he was able to run 50 metres in 7 seconds. Akiyama and Yamamoto get out a stop watch and get Baba to run as fast as he could but gets a time of 8.57 seconds. They decide to recruit track runners to pull him to increase his speed. With there assistance, Baba was able to run it in 7.44 seconds, once again proving Red's future machine was correct.

The announcer reminded viewers of the currently running Pokémon Card Game Present Campaign to help promote the upcoming 13th Pocket Monsters movie: The Ruler of Illusions Zoroark (幻影の覇者 ゾロアーク). Two sets of cards are available to those people that submit the required information between April 28th, 2010 and June 30th, 2010. The first set is Ho-oh and Lugia and the second set includes Raikou, Suicune and Entei. Only 2000 sets will be available to those that enter the campaign.

logoThe official Nintendo Europe website has announced PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure which will be released in Europe on July 9th, 2010. Many of the English names for the areas and attractions have also been announced and the content pages have been updated to include the information. Below is the official press release.

Get ready to run, jump, and smash your way through Pikachu’s latest action-packed adventure for all ages when PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure launches on Wii on 9 July.

Playing as Pikachu, you must solve the crisis that has befallen a strange new place, the PokéPark. Along the way, you’ll befriend key Pokémon as you take part in Skill Games and the many challenging attractions to be found in the PokéPark.

Up until recently, the PokéPark was protected by an item called the Sky Prism. But the Sky Prism shattered, and its pieces were spread all across the PokéPark. In order to save this magical place, you, as Pikachu, will need to explore the PokéPark and collect all of the Sky Prism Pieces.

PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure is the first Pokémon adventure title for Wii. As well as pulling you into a deep and engaging action adventure story, you will meet and talk to a wide variety of Pokémon.

As you work your way through the story, you’ll explore various zones within the PokéPark, each very different to the last. Whether in Beach Zone, Iceberg Zone, Lava Zone or Haunted Zone, you’ll find various attractions, which comprise the main challenges in the game.

Each attractions is a mini-game, such as a footrace, a test of strength or an obstacle course, designed to test your skills to the max. Beating the high score in an attractions is often a way of receiving a Sky Prism Piece. Shake and tilt the Wii Remote to fly, swim and skate your way through a whole host of fun attractions, such as:

  • Rhyperior’s Bumper Burn - Pokémon fight on a stage. You have to try to push opponent Pokémon off the stage!
  • Bulbasaur’s Daring Dash – What could be better than a Pokémon footrace! Shake the Wii Remote to accelerate.
  • Salamence’s Air Ace - Shoot airborne targets while flying high in the sky during this intense shooting game! Hitting targets while controlling the Pokémon is a serious test of your skills.
  • Venusaur’s Vine Swing – Timing is everything in this test of your vine-swinging skills. Get the momentum right if you want to achieve a long jump.
  • Gyarados’ Aqua Dash - Race against the clock, avoiding obstacles and using boosts to set the fastest time you can on this aquatic course!

But Pikachu isn’t the only one who can challenge the attractions! As Pikachu befriends other Pokémon, some will become playable in different attractions, opening up a wealth of possibilities to make strategic use of different Pokémons’ specific strengths.

Many of these Pokémon will also challenge Pikachu to a Skill Game, such as a simple Battle, a game of Hide-and-Seek, or a Chase – all games that will allow you to build friendships with the challenger by defeating them!

Zip across land, sea, and sky to show off your speed and skill in the first ever Pokémon action adventure title for all ages on Wii when PokéPark Wii: Pikachu‘s Adventure launches on 9 July 2010.

Robert's first stop was a Pro Wrestling Dojo. A paper with the scoop information was attached to one of the wrestlers who were practicing in the ring. Akiyama enters the ring and tries his best to get it off his foot but he is afraid that he will get hurt. Finally all three members of Robert enter the ring. In another exhibit, Yamamoto looks through a hole into a room where Akiyama looks to be a few feet taller than Lucario. They finally come upon a lobster exhibit with a chest. They take the chest and return with it to the PokéSun Headquarters only to find out that its empty.

A chest appeared in the room and the crew needed to raise and lower black and white flags in the order that the announcer indicated without making a mistake. Shoko-tan was first and managed to get the chest to be lowered a bit. Golgo went next and as a trick near the end, he had to make a strange face instead of moving the flags. He was also successful and the chest was lowered again. Finally Akiyama went and he almost exclusively had to do funny faces until the final instruction which was to raise the white flag to throw him off guard. He wasn't fooled and was also successful.
