Get ready—Safari Zone: Goyang is happening from Friday, September 23, 2022, to Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the beautiful Ilsan Lake Park, and tickets are on sale now! This is the first Safari Zone event hosted in South Korea, and we couldn’t be more excited to explore Ilsan Lake Park and the city of Goyang with the Pokémon GO community!

You’ll encounter Pokémon themed around Goyang’s rich history of flowers and romance, such as Combee, Carnivine, and Blue Flower Flabébé. You may even encounter Shiny Unown Y and Shiny Spritzee—if you’re lucky!

In addition to exciting Pokémon encounters, you’ll enjoy photo opportunities, and more as you explore the scenic Ilsan Lake Park.

General Admission tickets are available now for ₩16000* and will grant access to gameplay within the event space at Ilsan Lake Park from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on the day of your choice. Those who’d like start their adventures at 9:00 a.m. can opt to purchase an Early Access ticket instead for ₩24000*. Please note: a ticket is mandatory to experience event gameplay, and event gameplay can only be experienced within the designated space at Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang, South Korea. *(plus applicable taxes and fees)

Gameplay The following features will be active within the event space on the day and time indicated on your event ticket.

• Three additional Special Trades can be made during the event for a maximum of five for the day.
• Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.

  • All Trainers—even those without tickets—will be granted access to a short Special Research story.

Timed Research focused on catching Bug-type Pokémon will be available throughout the event! Complete research tasks to earn items, Pokémon encounters, and Scizor Mega Energy!

A bug-tastic Collection Challenge

Get ready for every Bug Catcher’s dream—a Collection Challenge featuring Bug-type Pokémon! Complete the challenge to receive the Bug Catcher Pose and 15,000 XP.
The pose will also be available for purchase in the in-game shop after the event.

Bonuses for groups

Work together with other Trainers to unlock additional bonuses! If three or more Trainers join an in-person Raid Battle, even more of a certain wild Bug-type Pokémon will appear for 15 minutes in a 300-meter radius around the Gym that hosted the raid! The Pokémon that will appear in greater numbers change each day.

The Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Sapporo takes place from August 5th, 2022 to August 7th, 2022 in Nakajima Park, Sapporo, Japan. Tickets cost 3,000 yen (tax included) and there is an additional 1,200 yen add-on. As most players will be unable attend this event in-person due to Japan limiting the number of tourists that can visit the country, Niantic will also be holding a Global Challenge and Ultra Unlock.

You can join the fun—wherever you are! If successful, all Trainers will get to enjoy upgraded bonuses during the upcoming Bug Out! event happening from Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Plus, additional bonuses will be unlocked for Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day on Saturday, August 13, 2022! Read on for more details.

Global Challenge

A special Global Challenge will kick off alongside Pokémon GO Fest: Sapporo on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. (GMT +9). You can participate from anywhere!

Join forces with Trainers around the world to complete Field Research to unlock the following.

* 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon during the remainder of the Global Challenge period, ending on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. (GMT +9).

* Ultra Unlock: Bug Out from Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

* Ultra Unlock: Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.
