Sableye was first introduced in episode #235 of Pokémon Sunday but it made a few appearances in Pokémon Smash. It is good friends with Golgo Matsumoto but its quite the trickster. It likes to play tricks on all the cast members, one of its favorites being a woopie cushion it puts on their chairs to make it sound like they farted.

In Pokémon Sunday 260, Yamirami challenged Director Lucario to a bunch of events. Yamirami seemed to do well in each of the events, only to be discovered by Red Yoshida and Golgo Matsumoto that it was cheating.

In October of 2011, the Pokémon Centers in Japan had a Yamirami event in which many related Yamirami goods were available for purchase. A 100 lottery winners were also able to get Pokémon Sunday Smash Sableye's Woopie Cushion (ヤミラミカラーのブーブークッション) as a present.


In Smash 153, Golgo Matsumoto revealed that the special distribution present would not be Director Lucario, Pokémon Sunday Chimchar, Leader Kimori, Mijumaru or Director Zoroark but would in fact be Pokémon Sunday Smash Sableye.
