McDonalds Japan has announced that their Happy Set from June 28th, 2019 until July 25th, 2019 will be Pokémon themed and there will be 4 toy distribution periods during that time to promote the 22nd movie "Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution".

On June 29th, 2019 and June 30th, 2019, a Pokémon Quiz and Sticker Book will be distributed while supplies last at participating McDonalds locations. All McDonald's stores in the Hokkaido area will give them out on July 6th and 7th, 2019.

Happy Set Box:

The limited run Happy Set box for this Pokémon promotion features a picture of a Monster Ball at the front and Pikachu, Mew and Mewtwo from the movie "Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution" on the back.

McDonald's has announced a new Pokémon themed Happy Meal will be available for purchase in Malaysia and Hong Kong throughout November and December of 2018. There are 8 different toys to collect including: Pikachu, Torchic, Meowth, Vulpix, Totodile, Shiny Magikarp, Squirtle and Psyduck.


The Pokémon Happy Meal campaign at McDonald's will take place from November 16th, 2018 until December 13th, 2018 in Hong Kong.



In Malaysia, Sqirtle and Torchic will be available starting on November 15th, 2018. Psyduck and Vulpix will be available starting on November 22nd, 2018. Shiny Magikarp and Meowth will be available starting November 29th, 2018 and Pikachu and Totodile will be available starting on December 6th, 2018.

McDonalds Japan has revealed its Pokémon Happy Set line of toys that will be available starting on July 6th, 2018. The price of a Happy Set is between 460 and 500 yen depending on which food is purchased. There are 8 different toys in the set and each one comes with a Move Disc that matches the Pokémon type.


This Happy Set box design features Pikachu and Eievui all over the box. There are also cut outs of Pikachu, Eievui and Lugia on the back of the box which can be placed and played with on a Monster Ball pattern on the side of the box.


Those that purchase the Pokémon Happy Set on July 7th and 8th, 2018, a Pokémon Everyone's Quiz & Puzzle Book will be included which is filled with fun information such as latest information on the movie, manga, quizzes and puzzles. 1 book per Happy Set will be distributed while supplies last.

McDonald's Japan has announced that Happy Sets in Japan from September 1st, 2017 until September 7th, 2017 will include 1 of 5 different Pokémon Ga-Olé Disks. Included in this set are: Solgaleo, Lunala, Pikachu, Kiteruguma and Mimikyu. The Happy Set will also include an A5 sized Coloring Note. The "Happy set" is a popular menu for children that began selling in 1987 and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Main menu such as the Cheese Burger and Chicken McNuggets, drinks and other menu items are popular but there is over 100 menu combinations for people to choose from such as vegetable juice and sweet corn.

McDonalds Japan has announced that the Pikachu Chocolate Banana McFlurry (ピカチュウのチョコバナナ) will be available to purchase in Japan starting on July 14th, 2017 for 290 yen including tax. There are six different cups to collect, each featuring Pikachu's face with a different expression.

McDonalds and the official Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire website have announced that Hoopa will be available for players of Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire in the United States and Canada from November 27th, 2015 until December 23rd, 2015 at McDonald's via the Nintendo Zone. Hoopa is currently being distributed around the world.


Also being released around the same time as Hoopa at McDonald's is a new line of Pokémon Happy Meal toys and TCG cards. The toys being distributed are: Mega Latios, Pikachu, Lugia, Primal Groudon, Wobbuffet, Hoopa, Primal Kyogre and Rayquaza. There will also be 12 TCG cards distribution.

The Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Happy Meal will be available at participating McDonald’s locations in the US and Canada from Friday, November 27 to Wednesday, December 23.
