On July 21st, 2023, the official Japanese anime Twitter account posted the official reveal of the voice actor for Nanjamo.

"I was jumping with joy when I first learned I was going to play Nanjamo!", Hondo said with delight. "I've been playing the video games ever since Pocket Monsters Leaf Green, and I love the franchise so much I used to dream of turning into a Rayquaza when I was a kid. It makes me so happy to be able to be a part of the Pokémon world!"

"Nanjamo is a Gym Leader who's also a wonderful entertainer that makes sure everyone has a good time. I took great care to get across both her constant alertness and her professionalism while playing her. Look forward to seeing how she'll get involved with Liko and the others!", she told the fans.
