Don George is the owner of the Battle Club's in each of the Isshu region cities. The Pokémon Battle Club allows Trainers to battle freely and improve each other's techniques. Like
Nurse Joy (Unova) and
Officer Jenny (Unova),
Don George has many relatives throughout the Isshu region that run local Battle Clubs. All the
Don George's look identical excepted for the color of their collar.
While investigating the break-in to the storage area of the Battle Club,
Ash Ketchum believed he saw a Blacky on the screen. Karakusa Town
Don George was excited as he wanted to get a he was looking to get a Pokémon that wasn't from the Isshu region. When
Don George and his staff caught up with the 'Blacky',
Meowth revealed himself and took off. Don was upset but then realized that
Meowth also was a Pokémon that wasn't from the Isshu region but by then was long gone.
Don Battles Tournament
The Don Battles Tournament was held in Raimon Town, not Raimon City, and strong fighters were encouraged to participate. The
Don George dojo manager of the Battle Club in Raimon Town was the host of the tournament. He gave the opening declaration speech for the tournament and announced that the winner would receive a complete set of the first-class, super-valuable seven feathers of Hodomoe set which included: the Stamina, Muscle Power, Resistance, Wisdom, Mind, Instance and Pretty Feathers. He gave his own insight and commentary with
Freddy O'Martian throughout the tournament. He presented
Iris with the feathers and declared her the winner of the Don Battles Tournament.
Donamite Tournament
THe Donamite Tournament was held in Toaru Town and all Trainers who take pride in their skills and have heated battles were invited to participate. The
Don George dojo manager of the Battle Club in Toaru Town was the host of the tournament. He gave the opening declaration speech for the tournament and announced that the winner would receive a year's supply of the nutritious drinks in a six-part set which included: Max Up, Lysozyme, Chitosan, Indometacin, Taurine and Bromhexine. He gave his own insight and commentary with
Freddy O'Martian throughout this tournament as well.
