Note

CoroCoro Comic's Official website posted an article about this episode just before the original airing on March 5th, 2021. They also tweeted about the page on the official CoroCoro Comic Twitter account to promote it.

Anipoke is just around the corner! This is Satoshi and Go.........kulin!

pic

An overdose of two Anipoke gags! The anime "Pocket Monsters" will start airing soon! It's being broadcast every Friday at 6:55 pm! Just before the anime airs, this article will introduce the Pokémon and characters that will appear in today's episode, comments from the voice actors and director, and other Anipoke information you won't hear anywhere else! You won't be able to guess what's going on from the screens in today's Anipoke!

pic

First part - Panic! The Gokulin Ball!!
The Rocket Gachat is out of control because of the sleepy Rocket Gang and Peripper! It's dispense more than 10 consecutive gachas! An overflowing amount of Gokulin's are released into the city! And to make matters worse, these Gokulin have the Ability "Sticky Hold", which means they can attach themselves to anything they touch! ...So that's why Go's head is a Gokulin...

pic

▲Are you okay, Go? When I let my guard down... there's a Gokulin on Satoshi's butt too!

In the meantime, a large number of Gokulin's get attached to each other and even more Pokémon in the city get stock together, causing a huge panic! What's going to happen?

pic

▲I thought it was just a kid's game about how fun it is to stick them together, but it turned out to be "Gokulin outbreak".

pic

▲It's funny from a visual standpoint, but... isn't something surprisingly serious going on?

pic

Second part - Come On, Kamukame Turtle Race!
The Rocket Gang Sonansu always wanted to spin the gacha once. When it spun it, a Kamukame popped out! As they followed the Kamukame walking around, they saw a Naetle overtaking the Kamukame. And it had this expression↓

pic

▲I think it's probably saying something along the lines of, "A clumsy and slow turtle...".

pic

▲It's probably saying something like, "It's been a while since I've lost my temper..."

And then... an unparalleled battle between two Pokémon with an intense rivalry! Yawn-inducingly slow! It has nothing to do with the main storyline and neither Satoshi nor Go appear at all! The hot race is about to begin!!!!

pic

▲Look at this! This sense of speed (or lack thereof)! A tingling sense of urgency (or lack thereof)!

pic

▲Is that Cotoise? There's also the development that more Pokémon are going to join in!

...So today's broadcast will be a double feature of gags!

After Story

The official Japanese Anime PR Twitter account posted an After Story comic on March 7th, 2021 by #もじゃクッキー @mojacookie featuring Professor Sakuragi remembering a funny thing Satoshi said. Gokulin stomachs contain a special fluid that digests anything and they can use the move Gastro Acid. Professor Sakuragi is just remembering Satoshi mispronouncing the move's name as Satoshi said "Yay" (iēi イェーイ) instead of Gastro Acid (ieki いえき).

Professor Sakuragi... He can't seem to stop laughing at the memory.

The caption by the Professor and Satoshi in the comic says:
He said, "Yay" not "Gastro Acid"...
"Yay" he said...
