Lysandre is a mysterious scientist seemingly observing Alain and he is also the director of the Fleur-de-lis Labs in the Kalos region. He first encountered Alain while searching for a Denryunite in some ruins and he challenged him to a battle where Alain could claim the stone if he won the battle. After Alan lost the battle, Lysandre explained that he is attempting to control the information the public knows about Mega Evolution as there are be people who want to use it for bad purposes.

He recruited Alain to help him and his research team and he gave Alain the Lizardonite and Key Stone. Lysandre told Alain that he would be helping by stopping people from defaming Professor Sycamore.
