Summary:

Starting in SM129, Type: Wild performed by Shoko Nakagawa replaced Notebook of the Heart as the Japanese Sun and Moon ending theme. "Type: Wild" was used as an ending theme for the "Pocket Monsters" TV series in 1998 and is a famous song that's still dearly beloved by Pokémon fans today. This new version of "Type: Wild" uses the tune of "Kaze to issho ni" as its intro and Shoko Nakagawa's singing and Hyadain's management has turned it into an entirely new "Type: Wild" that can be enjoyed by both children and adults alike.

The Sun and Moon variant animation is based off of the style of the original ending which features Satoshi and his Pikachu running on the left side with Rotom Zukan on the right side showcasing clips from the show.

Pokénchi #199

During Pokénchi #199, a segment featuring Shoko-tan took place and Abareru-kun surprised everyone in a disguise and came out on stage and performed with Shoko-tan. The recorded even was from the Sunday, July 14th, 2019 at 4:30pm Pokénd Tour stop in Kanagawa at the Mitsui Shopping Park Lazona Kawasaki 2F Roof Plaza Grand Stage. Sachiko Kobayashi, Pokémon Kids 2019, Pikachu and Mewtwo also made appearances and were briefly also showcased during this episode segment.

Pokénchi #198

During Pokénchi #198, a segment featuring Shoko-tan and the rest of the cast singing the song for second time live in studio. They sang the full version of the song this time. Sunshine Ikezaki and Taiiku Okazaki also danced along and shouted "Type Wild" at the appropriate times in the song.

Pokénchi #192

During Pokénchi #192, a segment featuring Shoko-tan and Hyadain recording the ending in the studio was broadcast on the show. Abareru-kun and Rinka also show up to the recording session.

Pokénchi #191

During Pokénchi #191, Shoko-tan officially announced the new ending theme and sang a live TV length version of the song.

Ongaku no Hi 2019 (音楽の日) - July 13th, 2019

Shoko-tan was one of the many performers on Ongaku no Hi 2019 (音楽の日) which broadcast on TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System Television) on July 13th, 2019. She did a short version of Type: Wild live at around 3:00pm JST.

"Kaze to Issho ni" Release Party Tour - Shoko Nakagawa's "Pokénd Tour" Schedule

Shoko Nakagawa traveled around Japan as part of her "Pokénd Tour" for promote the release of "Kaze to Issho ni". During her performances in the tour from June 23rd, 2019 onward, Type: Wild would be part of the set list. DreaDrea and Kaze to Issho ni were also performed.

On January 24th, 2021, the Shoko Nakagawa LIVE 2021 Together ONLINE Vol 2 was broadcast live online at 19:00 JST. It was available to purchase from January 24th, 2021 until January 27th, 2021 for 2500 yen plus a 300 yen handling fee.
