Summary

English Official Summary

Dawn takes a little time to train with her newly acquired Togekiss before the Grand Festival. She discovers that Togekiss seems to take an extraordinarily long time swooping around-in a sort of sky dance-before executing a move. Dawn begins to think that she may never succeed with Togekiss in a Contest. Meanwhile, Jessie from Team Rocket has her eye on the beautiful and graceful Togekiss, and she looks to James and Meowth for help catching it. Twice they attempt to dig a tunnel and then drill up from underground to catch Togekiss, each time to no avail. Then, when Team Rocket ends up catching Pikachu and Piplup, our heroes spring into action! And when Dawn calls several attacks for Togekiss to execute, the same sky-dancing initially ensues-this time the swoops allow Togekiss to dodge Team Rocket's attacks! Piplup and Pikachu are rescued safely, and Team Rocket is sadly sent blasting off again. Upon later reflection, Dawn realizes that Togekiss's extensive sky dancing was meant to show Dawn how valuable such swooping can be, and we leave our heroes as Dawn happily ponders how wonderful it will be to compete with Togekiss at her side in the Grand Festival!

02:24

Script Error

Musashi suggests that they should capture Hikari's Togekiss but Kojiro and Nyarth try to explain to her why that would be a bad idea. In the English dub, Jessie accuses James of belittling her by calling her simple when he was just making a statement that capturing Togekiss wouldn't be easy.

James: Sounds simple, but sounds can be deceiving.
Jessie: Simple? You calling me simple?
Kojiro: You should reconsider that.
Musashi: And why is that?! Do you have a problem with it, or what?
03:05

Paint Edit

Someone at TPCi has a fascination with trains as Meowth once again makes an unrelated train reference.

Meowth: That girl's mind runs on her own track.
Nyarth: It's like you don't care about anything any more!
03:15

Script Error

Nyarth complains that Musashi isn't able to think of a plan on her own. In the English dub, Meowth implies Jessie is crazy for making the two of them think of a plan.

Meowth: That's yahoo-speak for making us do the heavy lifting.
Nyarth: She isn't willing to think herself at all...
12:35

Script Error

Jessie is annoyed with James and Meowth and tells them to stop and that Team Rocket should rely on their persistence as a 'Team' with tenacity.

It is also possible that Jessie's reference to "Team Tenacity" is a throw back to Celebrity Apprentice Season 9's team "Tenacity" which was probably airing at the time the English dub script was being written.

Jessie: Stop! Enough groveling.
Jessie: Time to rely on Team Tenacity.
Musashi: Argh, I can't be bothered any longer!
Musashi: In that case, we have no choice but to make use of our prowess!
13:25

Script Error

James makes up a word 'enbiten' when Carnivine bites his head and then calls it a name. Kojiro just tells Muskippa to attack towards the brats.

Jessie: Seviper, enlighten them.
James: Carnivine, enlighten them, too.
James: Not "enbiten," enlighten, twit.
Musashi: Habunake, off you go!
Kojiro: Muskippa, you too!
Kojiro: There, over there!
15:36

Script Error

Jessie and Dawn both tell their Pokémon to look out in the English dub. In the Japanese version, only Musashi talks in that scene.

Jessie/Dawn: Look out!
Musashi: They're gonna crash!
16:06

Script Error

Jessie adds a bunch of words that rhyme when she commands Yanmega.

Jessie: Yanmega, gloom and doom with SonicBoom.
Musashi: Megayanma, SonicBoom!
17:25

Paint Edit

Musashi tells Megayanma to get out of the battle in the Japanese version.

Jessie: Fly, Yanmega, like the wind!
Musashi: Megayanma, escape! Escape!
17:50

Script Error

Meowth exclaims that he lost so badly that he lost his pants and that they should go to their final plan 'Z'. Nyarth doesn't refer to a final plan in the Japanese version but suggests that they should just use their 'trump card' instead.

Meowth: Man, those twerps beat the pants off of us and I don't even wear pants.
Meowth: I guess it's time for Plan "Z."
Nyarth: Wah! We lost to the brats!
Nyarth: Argh! In that case, we'll use our special skills!

The Hikari clone screenshots from the preview the other day certainly are interesting. I guess Hikari will battle with her Togepi here for the first time.

Sunain, I believe this episode will air on September 4, not the 5th.
After all, September 5 is on a Sunday. No Pokemon episodes air on Sunday, just reruns of the same episode that just aired Saturday.

Thanks I fixed the airdate. I found this to be a boring but necessary episode. Togikiss and Dawn needed to bond but it really wasn't a very interesting episode to watch. I added my dub edits to the episode guide for this episode.
