Summary
As Ash and co. headed towards Solaceon Town, they met another trainer who's name was Allan. Ash and Allan decided to have a battle. The battle rages on as Allan's Nosepass uses Zap Cannon. Turtwig responds by dodging the attack. Nosepass continues to fire Zap Cannons at Turtwig, but Ash orders Turtwig to dodge. Ash then commands Turtwig to run closer to Nosepass, and Ash also runs with Turtwig. Allan and his Nosepass begin to chase Turtwig. After several Zap Cannons are used, one of them slightly hits Turtwig, but Turtwig jumps and lands on its feet safely. Before Ash and co. can run any further, Allan stops them. He says that they are on the border line of Mt. Coronet, and running any more will get them out of Mt. Coronet. He explains that if they are not in Mt. Coronet, his Nosepass will not be able to evolve into a Probopass. Ash, Dawn, and Brock find it strange how a Pokémon can only evolve in a certain area. Allan asks Ash if he is willing to stay on Mt. Coronet, and Ash says yes.

The battle continues. Nosepass uses Rock Slide, but Turtwig dodges the attack. Turtwig directly hits Nosepass with a Tackle. Nosepass slides backwards, but it did not receive much damage. Nosepass then counters with its own Tackle. Then both Pokémon continue to Tackle each other. Suddenly, after several tackle attacks, Nosepass evolves into Probopass. Dawn is amazed by it, and she looks it up in her Pokédex. Ash congratulates Allan for his new Pokémon. Still, Ash wants to finish up their battle. Allan is very excited. Suddenly, an antenna falls onto Probopass. It places Probopass into a deep sleep. The three noses that Probopass has shoots out from its body and crashes down near Allan. A laugh is heard. Allan looks up in the sky and sees Team Rocket. Team Rocket says their motto. Team Rocket wants to steal Probopass, and with the device planted on Probopass's head, they can control it.

Meowth uses his remote control to take the three noses from Probopass's body and hurl them straight at Ash and Allan. Ash and Allan duck before the noses can hit them. Then Meowth presses another switch on the remote to make Probopass create a mini earthquake. While Ash and co. are stuck in the earthquake, Probopass is attached to Team Rocket's balloon, and Team Rocket floats away. After Team Rocket is gone, the earthquake stops. Allan is very upset that his Probopass is gone, and he begins to cry. He tells a story to Ash, Dawn, and Brock about how he and Probopass were always best friends and how he would always work hard. Ash tells Allan not to give up. Dawn and Brock assure Allan that they will get Probopass back. Allan knows that they are right, so he stops crying and regains confidence.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket has hidden themselves in the forest. They plan to steal a few more Probopass and control an entire army of them. James and Meowth are stuck making the antennas and remotes. James is complaining on how boring his work is, but Meowth reassures him that their plan will allow them to control all the Probopass. This boosts James' confidence. Meanwhile, Ash and co. are searching for Probopass. Brock is using a compass to detect Probopass's magnetic charge. While walking, Brock states that they have to destroy the antenna and the remote. Allan plans to destroy the antenna, and Ash plans to aim for the remote. The compass makes a sudden turn, and Brock realizes that they are getting close.

Ash and co. see Team Rocket, and they hide behind the bushes. They notice that Team Rocket has made a lot of more antennas so that they can steal more Nosepass. Allan wants to head out and fight, but Brock stops him. Ash already has a plan. He sends out Buizel, and Buizel heads deep into the river. While Meowth has his back turned, Buizel pops his head out of the water and splashes Meowth with water. Meowth turns around, but no one is there. When Meowth has his back turned again, Buizel sprays Jessie with water. Jessie is enraged, and she blames Meowth and James. While Team Rocket is fighting, Buizel quietly takes the remote for the antenna. Unfortunately, Buizel drops it. Team Rocket now knows that Buizel is there. Before Buizel can escape, Jessie has her Dustox use Psybeam. Dustox uses Pysbeam. It hits Buizel. While Buizel is confused, Wobbuffet runs over and grabs the remote. Buizel, however, does not let the remote go, and the two Pokémon fight over it. The lever to the remote is flipped, and a signal is sent to Probopass. Sensing that Probopass is in danger, Allan dives into the river. Ash sends out Staravia. Staravia flies over and knocks the remote from Wobbuffet and Buizel's hands. The remote flies into the air. Meanwhile, Allan has made it to the other side of the river, and he heads straight for the antenna on Probopass. James runs up to Allan and fights him. Ash dives for the remote, but Dustox's Whirlwind attack prevents Ash from reaching it. The remote falls onto Probopass's antenna and damages it. The antenna begins to short circuit, and there is no remote to control it. Probopass fires a Zap Cannon at Team Rocket, and they blast off again.

Probopass begins to destroy its surroundings. Dawn wonders what they should do. Brock states that a powerful electric shock might be able to stop Probopass. Ash orders Pikachu to use its Thunderbolt on Probopass. The electric attack hits Probopass. Probopass wakes up for a second, but after a few moments the antenna takes effect again. Brock realizes that they have to take the antenna off in order to completely wake Probopass up. Probopass begins to move away. Ash and co. follow it. Buizel uses Water Gun to slow Probopass down, and Allan quickly jumps on top of Probopass. Allan orders Ash to have Pikachu use Thunderbolt. Dawn reminds Allan that he will be shocked too, but Allan does not care. Ash agrees with Allan, and Pikachu uses Thunderbolt. Unfortunately, the electric attack was not enough. Probopass does not stop. Allan tells Ash to try it again. Dawn sends out Pachirisu so that it can use its electric attacks too.

The group continues to chase after Probopass. Allan notices that there is a lake up ahead, and he gets an idea. As soon as Probopass reaches the edge of the cliff, it stops moving. Allan orders Ash to have his Pokémon use Thunderbolt and Water Gun. Pikachu, Buizel, and Pachirisu all attack Probopass at once. Allan gets shocked in the process, and the two of them fall into the lake. Underwater, Allan manages to take the antenna off of Probopass's head. Ash, Dawn, and Brock run down to the shore of the lake. Ash tells Buizel to jump underwater.

Suddenly, Team Rocket appears. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt at Team Rocket. To counter the attack, Meowth pulls out a missile launcher and fires a missile. The missile transforms into a net and traps Ash and co. inside. Back underwater, Probopass finally awakens, and Allan and Probopass head towards the surface. Team Rocket takes out their new and improved antenna. Suddenly, Allan and Probopass reach the surface. Allan tells Team Rocket that they will fail. Jessie and James send out Seviper and Carnivine. Ash orders Buizel to use Sonicboom on the net. The Sonicboom frees Ash, Dawn, and Brock. Seviper and Carnivine charge towards Ash and co. Probopass uses Magnet Bomb, and it blasts Seviper and Carnivine. Then Pikachu finishes Seviper and Carnivine up with its Volt Tackle. Finally, with the combined attacks from Pachirisu and Probopass, Team Rocket blasts off again.

With Team Rocket defeated, Ash and Allan decide to finish their battle. It's a battle between Probopass and Turtwig. While the battle rages on, Ash and co.'s journey towards Solaceon Town continues.
