Summary
Gengar launches a Night Shade, and Lapras sent out an Ice Beam. This causes an explosion. When the smoke clears, both Pokémon are unable to battle. Now there is a field change because Drake lost three of his Pokémon. Team Rocket is watching the battle too. They comment on how well Ash is doing right now. Meowth is giving himself a "Meowth-acure". The field changes to a sandy desert field.

Drake chooses Venusaur, and Ash sends out Tauros. Tauros uses Fissure, but the sand sucks the attack up. Venusaur prepares for a Solarbeam attack. Tauros tries to stop the attack with a Take Down, but it gets stuck in the sand again. Ash commands Tauros to send Venusaur flying, and it does so. Venusaur launches to Solarbeam while in the air. The attack gets Tauros unstuck from the sand. Venusaur attack with a Vine Whip. The vines hits Tauros, but Tauros manages to recover. With a Take Down attack, Venusaur is unable to battle.

Now Drake has only two Pokémon left. He brings Venusaur back and sends out Electabuzz. Electabuzz uses Thundershock on Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur shakes the attack right off itself. Bulbasaur uses Razor Leaf, but Electabuzz counters with Thunderbolt. Then Bulbasaur uses Tackle. The attack hits Electabuzz, but Electabuzz hits Bulbasaur with a Thunderpunch. Bulbasaur is unable to battle, and Electabuzz wins.

Ash recalls BUlbasaur back and sends out Charizard. He hopes that Charizard is at a high level. Charizard starts off with a Flamethrower. Electabuzz dodges the attack and hits Charizard with a Thunderpunch. Electabuzz sends out a powerful Thunder, shocking Charizard. Charizard stops the attack with Ember. Electabuzz starts with a Thunderbolt, but Charizard grabs onto Electabuzz and stops the attack. It uses the Seismic Toss and wins the round.

Drake has only one Pokémon left, but he has saved the best for last. He throws his Pokéball and Dragonite appears.

Charizard uses Flamethrower, but Dragonite douses out the flames with Water Gun. Dragonite uses Ice Beam, however Charizard dodges the attack by flying. Dragonite flies in the air too. Misty and Tracey notices the excellent speed Dragonite has. Dragonite uses a series of Ice Beams, bubt Charizard dodges them all. Charizard tries to go for the Seismic Toss, but Dragonite gets Charizard in a headlock. It slams Charizard to the ground. Charizard gets up, but it is very tired. Both Pokémon uses Dragon Rage. When the attacks finish, Charizard falls to the ground. James wants to capture Dragonite now, but Jessie and Meowth are enjoying the battle.

Ash returns Charizard back into its Pokéball. He sends out Squirtle next. Squirtle uses Hydro Pump, but Dragonite's Water Gun hits Squirtle directly. Dragonite sends a powerful Thunderbolt at Squirtle. Squirtle hides in its shell, but the shock has weakened it. Dragonite gets ready for a Body Slam, but Squirtle Bubble attack stops it. Dragonite uses its tail to knock Squirtle back to the ground. Squirtle desperately tries to get up, but it can't. Drake wins the round. Knowing how exhausted Dragonite is right now, Team Rocket goes off with their plan. Before Ash can choose his next Pokémon, Team Rocket's balloon is seen in the air. A net is cast onto Dragonite. Team Rocket says their motto. Drake is angry at them. Dragonite breaks out of the net, and it flies right through the balloon. Team Rocket blasts off again. Tracey almost feels sorry for them.

Ash chooses Tauros next. Tauros starts with Take Down, but Dragonite flies into the air and avoids the attack. Dragonite uses Body Slam. Tauros stands in one spot. When Dragonite hits Tauros, Tauros absorbs the hit because of the sand. Tauros has Dragonite stuck in its horns. Tauros throws Dragonite to the ground. Dragonite releases a Thunder attack at Tauros, knocking it out.

Ash has only one Pokémon left. Pikachu gets ready for battle. Pikachu uses Agility to get closer to Dragonite, but Dragonite's tail gives Pikachu a whipping. Dragonite charges up for a Hyper Beam. It sends the attack directly at Pikachu. Pikachu uses its tail as a springboard to escape the attack. It jumps into the air and lands on Dragonite's head. Dragonite tries to shake Pikachu off, but Pikachu holds on with all of its might. Then Pikachu shocks Dragonite with a tremendous Thunder attack. Pikachu is shooken off Dragonite. Both Pokémon stare at each other. Dragonite falls to the ground unable to battle. Ash wins the battle. Drake presents Ash with a trophy. Drake congratulates Ash by saying that he is a great Pokémon trainer. Ash even earns a place in the Hall of Fame.
