以前出会った科学博物館の館長の依頼で、ガラル地方の珍しい化石の調査にやってきたサトシ、ゴウ、そしてコハル。ワイルドエリアで出会ったのは、発掘調査をしている研究員、“うかつ”なウカッツと、“がさつ”なガサッツの2人。協力して掘り出した様々な化石を組み合わせて、復元装置にかける一同。復元されるのは一体どんなポケモンなのか…?

In the Wild Area, the trio encounters two researchers conducting an excavation: Ukattsu "the Careless" and Gasattsu "the Boorish". They all work together to dig up various fossils, which they place together in the restoration device. Just what kind of Pokémon end up getting restored...?
