While on a search related to his next Trial Mission, Go encounters two of his rivals that are likewise trying to become eligible. How will they battle Freezer, which is said to be a Legendary Pokémon?!

Project Mew's next Trial Mission is to "Have a Raid Battle against Freezer"! Go heads to Twin Islands, where Freezer is said to be, alongside Satoshi, and while searching for Freezer, he reunites with Tokio, his friend whose goal is Celebi, and Satoshi's childhood friend Shigeru. Together with these two rivals of his who likewise aim to become eligible for Project Mew, Go challenges the Legendary Pokémon Freezer to a Raid Battle!

On April 4th, 2022, the official Otomedia magazine Twitter account posted a tweet to promote the Otomedia Spring 2022 issue which was released on April 5th, 2022 and featured an article and pull out poster.

The TV anime Pocket Monsters article in Otomedia SPRING2022 features illustrations of Satoshi, Go, Shigeru, and Tokio! Special First-Airing Segment Upcoming Episodes Preview

A special episode preview, which was different than the standard preview, was broadcast during the original airing of this episode to promote the VS Elite Four 1 Hour Battle Special (VS四天王1時間バトルスペシャル) which aired on April 1st, 2022. It was also the 25th anniversary celebration special for the Pocket Monsters anime.

Citron and Eureka, who both traveled with Satoshi in the Kalos region returned to the series for a Special Friendship Training session.

Satoshi's Pokémon World Championships opponent is Dracaena from the Kalos Elite Four. Satoshi faces the Dragon type Trainer Dracaena with his powered-up Negigaknight and Uonodragon!

A 25th Anniversary present campaign was also announced would take place.
