Summary
A Bonsly is seen sobbing during the night. Tears roll down its face. The next day Ash and co. have stopped for a lunch break. May, who is rubbing her egg, hopes her egg will hatch soon. Brock tells May that it won't be for long since she has had the egg for a while now. Max says that it could be any kind of Pokémon. Ash gets up and decides to work more with Pikachu on its Volt Tackle attack.

Ash has sent out Donphan. Donphan's job is to battle Pikachu. Pikachu charges at Donphan with a powerful Volt Tackle. The attack hits Donphan, but Donphan manages to send Pikachu backwards. Ash tells Donphan that it is the perfect training partner for Pikachu. Donphan happily stomps its feet on the ground. Brock, May, and Max also notice the strength Donphan has. Suddenly, Donphan roars and uses Rollout straight at Ash. Ash and Pikachu dodge Donphan's attack. Donphan destroys a rock. A ninja and his Ninjask fall against a tree. A bit later, the ninja explains to Ash and co. why he was spying on them. Apparently there have been some thieves around, and he was making sure that Ash and co. weren't the thieves. Ash forgives the ninja. Ash and his friends introduce themselves to the ninja. Then the ninja introduces himself. His name is Evian, a trainer at a ninja school. A ninja school is where you do ninja training but with Pokémon. Evian offers them to be students for one day. Ash, Brock, May, and Max think that it is a great idea.

At the training camp, a girl who appears to be the leader announces that there have been some strange things going around. Her students all say that they had something stolen from them. Brock begins to get love crazy again over the girl, however he is shocked when he finds himself talking to a stick. The girl explains that her ninja skills are superior.

Team Rocket is watching the group from behind the trees. Jessie wants to capture Pikachu and bring it to the boss. James reminds Jessie about the ninjas and how rough they are. Jessie laughs at James's words. She tells James that she was a ninja girl back in her early years. James and Meowth start to ignore Jessie. Jessie gets mad at them for not paying attention to her story.

The ninja's first test is to stay underwater while breathing through a straw. Everyone manages to keep themselves underwater for a good amount of time. A few minutes later, no one can hold their breath any longer, so they surface above the water. The girl tells her students that in order to succeed the task they must believe that they are the water. Their next test is camouflage. Everyone is in camouflage. Max is has tarp that looks exactly like a tree and is hiding behind it. Ash and Pikachu hide under a blanket. Three Pidgey fly down and start to peck at the blanket. Ash reveals himself to the opening because it was too hot under the blanket. The girl sees that they need to work more on their endurance.

The girl sends out a Kecleon. What the students have to do is work with their partner to find Kecleon. Kecleon disappears and runs off. Ash and Evian walk around together looking for Kecleon. It's a hard task to find Kecleon. Evian stops and holds up two fingers. He thinks for a moment and points to the trees. Ninjask uses Sand-Attack which reveals Kecleon's tail. However before Evian can catch Kecleon, Kecleon disappears again. The girl walks up to Evian. She congratulates him for almost catching Kecleon. Ash tries Evian's strategy now. He senses that Kecleon is in a different part of the trees. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, but barely misses. Kecleon grabs on to Ash's hat and runs up a tree. Ash and Pikachu leap out to grab Kecleon, but they miss.

The other students look for Kecleon. One boy peers through the grass and he finds a Bonsly. He quickly picks the Bonsly up. He notices that it is the same Pokémon that has been stealing from them. The Bonsly begins to cry. Brock takes the Bonsly out of the boy's arms. Ash, Evian, and the girl come up. Ash looks up Bonsly in his Pokédex. The girl and two boys tells Brock that the Bonsly stole from them. Brock asks them if they have any proof that Bonsly stole from them. He picks up an Oran Berry and holds it out to Bonsly. Bonsly looks at the Oran Berry and knocks it out of Brock's hand. Brock prepares a bottle of milk for Bonsly and gives the milk to it. When Bonsly is done sipping from the bottle, it begins to attack Brock for a strange reason. Suddenly, a ninja star is thrown at the group and a rose is revealed. Team Rocket comes out in a ninja suit. They say their motto. With their robot machine, the machine spits out spider webs out to the group. The Pokémon are caught in the web and begin to be pulled to Team Rocket. Then Team Rocket begins to float away.

The girl sends out Shiftry. Shiftry jumps into the sky and hits Team Rocket's robot, taking it down. Then Ash sends out Grovyle, May sends out Combusken, and Brock sends out Marshtomp. Grovyle uses Leaf Blade to cut the spider web. All the Pokémon trapped are now free. Now that the Pokémon are free from Team Rocket, Shiftry uses Rock Smash. The powerful attack causes a small earthquake below Team Rocket. Combusken uses Fire Spin to burn Team Rocket. Then Marshtomp fires a Water Gun at Team Rocket causing to fall from the tree to the ground.

Jessie gets up. She offers a ninja-to-ninja challenge with the girl. The girl accepts Jessie's challenge. Jessie sends out Seviper which uses Haze attack. Then Jessie jumps in the air. It looks like she is flying, however she is actually on a rope pulled from James and Meowth. Jessie has a net in her hands. She releases it on the ground hoping to catch the girl. Unfortunately for Jessie, the girl is actually safe and Jessie caught the stick instead. Jessie uses her Double Team technique even though the other two Jessies are James and Meowth. The girl, embarrassed, has Shiftry use its own Double Team. Then Shiftry uses Razor Wind which traps Team Rocket in a cyclone. Ninjask scratches Team Rocket with Fury Swipes and Ariados traps Team Rocket in a spider web. Brock asks Team Rocket if they were the ones who stole the Oran berries. Team Rocket says they did. They roll away down a cliff, and they blast off again.

The girl thanks Ash and his friends for saving their Pokémon. Bonsly begins to cry again. May thinks that Bonsly has grown to be fond of Brock. Brock asks Bonsly if it wants to travel with him. Bonsly jumps into Brock's arms and moves rapidly. Brock wonders what Bonsly is trying to do. Ash thinks for a moment and understands that Bonsly wants to battle with Brock. Brock agrees to battle Bonsly.

Brock has his Forretress battle Bonsly. Bonsly starts the battle with Fake Tears. However, Brock thinks that Bonsly is really crying. Brock is fooled when Bonsly strikes Forretress. Forretress uses Rapid Spin and ignores Bonsly's crying. The attack directly hits Bonsly. Bonsly begins to spin, but Forretress uses Spikes to stop it from spinning. Brock throws a Pokéball at Bonsly. The ball shakes for a bit. Bonsly breaks free. However, Bonsly trips and falls on a spike. Bonsly yells in pain. Brock throws another Pokéball at Bonsly. This time Bonsly is successfully captured.

Brock prepares a bottle of milk for Bonsly. Bonsly happpily drinks the milk. Then it throws the bottle at Brock and cries. Brock scolds at Bonsly, but Bonsly was just using Fake Tears. Now that Brock has Bonsly everyone makes fun of the fact that Brock has turned into a father. Now Ash and co. continue their journey to the Battle Pike.

Eyecatch Pre-episode Message

In order to alert the viewers that the episode is about to start, a special eyecatch was used. The eyecatch is a countdown towards the beginning of the episode and contains scenes from previous AG openings, Advance Adventure and Pokémon Symphonic Medley. The split-screen scenes with Haruka and Takeshi were updated versions of the Advance Adventure ones that reflected the changes in the characters' Pokémon teams. More specifically, the scene that depicted Takeshi's Mizugorou and Takeshi's Hassboh was replaced with a scene from Takeshi's Numacraw's battle against Satoshi's Juptile that took place in AG149, while the scene that depicted Haruka's Achamo and Haruka's Agehunt was replaced with a scene from Haruka's Gonbe's battle against Shiromi's Rafflesia that took place in AG151. The countdown ends with Satoshi reciting his catchphrase, "Get Pokémon!" (ポケモンゲットだぜ!, Pokémon getto da ze! ).
