Summary
A Dodrio calls out because it's morning. Brock is in the kitchen making eggs and Ash is still sleeping. Mr. Mime brushes Ash and Pikachu's face with a broom. This gets Pikachu upset and it shocks Ash. Ash and Misty comes down for breakfast. Brock hands both of them their breakfast. Ash's mom asks Ash to help her with the garden since he's taking a break from training. Ash tells her that he's still training and that they are going to climb up to the mountains today. Misty doesn't remember Ash saying anything about that, but Ash tells her to just go along with it. When they go outside, Ash tells Misty that he'd rather walk up a mountain than do chores for his mom. Ash's mom reminds Ash to pick up 300-400 pounds of fertilizer at the Xanadu Nursery.

Ash and co. make a run for it. When they stop running, Misty notices a gigantic building infront of them. Ash says that it's the Xanadu Nursery. The owner to the nursery moved away a long time ago so someone else must be running it. The nursery is filled with trees, flowers, and Brock sees a pretty girl. Ash looks in but he doesn't see anything. Then Ash sees a Gloom. A guy comes out with a big hose in his hand. Ash and co. thinks that he's holding a flamethrower. They plead for him not to shoot them. All the hose does and spray some sort of chemicals out.

The man introduces himself as Potter and he works at the nursery. Ash takes out his Bulbasaur and he asks Bulbasaur if it wants to look at the flowers. Bulbasaur wants to and they run off. Before Brock takes off, he asks Potter about a girl he saw. Potter tells him that the girl's name is Florinda. Brock says,"Florinda, what a beautiful name for a wife."

Bulbasaur is smelling all the flowers. When it comes and smells a certain flower, Bulbasaur acts all weird. Misty reads that the flower is called Pokenip. Bulbasaur smells another flower and it becomes totally paralyzed. Ash is about to smell the flower, but Florinda orders Ash not to smell it. She tells him that anyone who smells it becomes paralyzed. Ash tells her that Bulbasaur smelled the plant. Florinda tells Gloom to bring Bulbasaur in the house. In the house, Gloom lets out a strange substance and it falls in Bulbasaur's mouth. Bulbasaur gets all better again. Ash hugs his Bulbasaur. Then Bulbasaur walks towards Gloom and smiles at it. Ash and Misty think that it's great that Bulbasaur and Gloom are getting together.

Meanwhile, Brock and Florinda are outside talking to each other. Florinda tells Brock that she's the owner of the Xanadu Nursery, but that she's a big failure at raising Pokémon. Potter even said that Florinda got a Leaf Stone so that Gloom can evolved but that didn't even work. Brock tells Florinda that she loves Gloom very much and that's all that matters. Suddenly, Professor Oak comes out. He tells everyone that the Leaf Stone is a fake. Brock asks Florinda of what the people that sold her the Leaf Stone looked like. She tells them that a girl, a guy, and a talking Meowth sold it to her. Ash, Misty, and Brock conclude that Team Rocket sold it to her.

Team Rocket appears from behind a bush and they say their motto. Jessie and James look for rare Pokémon for them to steal. Jessie notices the Stun Stem and they plan to steal it.

Potter pours some coffee in a cup. Florinda is crying because she was tricked by Team Rocket. Brock reassurres her that he will get her money back from Team Rocket. Suddenly, the alarm beeps and Team Rocket appears on the screen. Ash and co. rush to Team Rocket. Florinda tells Team Rocket to stop stealing the plants. Jessie tells everyone that they wanted to do something good and so they sold her the Leaf Stone even though it was fake.

Ash tells Bulbasaur to tie Team Rocket up with its Vine Whip attack. Team Rocket gets tied up and they fall to the ground. Jessie and James tells them that they will be saved by their secret weapon. A moment of silence occurs. Seconds later Jessie and James ask Meowth of what's taking so long. Meowth takes out a ball filled with the Stun Stem. He throws it at Ash and co. and they all become paralyzed. Jessie takes Pikachu from Ash. Brock tells Florinda to use her Gloom to battle Team Rocket. Florinda tells him that Gloom is trained enough. Brock pleads and asks her to battle Team Rocket with Gloom. Florinda tells him that she'll do her best.

Florinda sends in Gloom for battle. Jessie and James sends out Arbok and Weezing. Arbok uses Toxic and Weezing uses Smog. Florinda is about to give up but Brock tells her that she can do it. Florinda tells Gloom to use Double Team. All the copies surrounds Team Rocket. Arbok and Weezing turns many times because they don't know where the real Gloom is. They accidently bump into each other and a powerful gas is let out at Jessie and James. Florinda asks Brock if a Solarbeam might work. Brock hopes it does and so Florinda orders Gloom to use Solarbeam. While Gloom is gathering the necessary energy, Pikachu bites Jessie's arm and it escapes. Gloom fires the attack and Team Rocket are blasting off again.

Everyone congratulates Florinda and Gloom on a job well done. Then everyone takes a bit of Gloom's antidote and they get healed. Florinda thanks Brock for helping her believe in herself and her Pokémon. Florinda says that she needs a guy to share this nursery with. Brock blushes and says that it's all so sudden. Brock says that he'll stay with her. Brock turns around and he sees Ash and Misty. He looks over them and he sees Florinda telling Potter that she loves him. Potter tells Florinda that he loves her too. Brock bends over because he was rejected again. Misty reminds Ash that he never did any training, but Ash tells her that there's always tomorrow.
