Summary
An announcer on the TV talks about the battles in the Battle Dome. Ash and co. walk up to the Battle Dome. TV reporters from all directions come to get a word from Ash. They all have questions for him. Scott appears and tells the reporters to save their questions for the Press Conference.

At the Post Conference, many people have questions for Ash who is currently being interviewed. One person asks Ash's opinion about Tucker. Ash doesn't have a clue of who Tucker is, and the whole room grows to be quiet. Scott tells Ash that Tucker is the Frontier Brain as well as a superstar. The reason of why Ash is attracting attention is because he is going to battle a superstar.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is helping Tucker get ready for his match. The audience is enormous. Scott, Brock, May, and Max are at the top of the stadium. Team Rocket is selling snacks. The announcer introduces Ash Ketchum as a fantastic Pokémon trainer who competed in many Pokémon leagues. Ash appears on the stage and waves to everyone. Then Tucker enters the stage. The audience screams wildly for their superstar, Tucker. Tucker welcomes Ash. If Ash wins he gets a Tactic Symbol. Tucker sends out Arcanine and Swampert. The announcer states that they will be having a double battle. The announcer tells Ash that he has to choose his Pokémon. Ash can even have his Pokémon transported from a Pokémon Center. Ash chooses Corphish and Swellow. The battle begins.

Swellow charges towards Swampert using Quick Attack. However, Arcanine counters with Extreemespeed. The attack directly hits Swellow with full blast. Corphish fires a Bubblebeam at Arcanine, but now Swampert protects it. Brock figures out Tucker's strategy. Arcanine is used for speed while Swampert can use protect it. Ash tells Swellow to use Aerial Ace. Arcanine also uses Aerial Ace which surprises everyone since Aerial Ace is a flying type attack. The two Pokémon collide into each other. Both Pokémon fall to the ground. Arcanine slides towards Corphish. Corphish prepares for a Vice Grip. To protect Arcanine, Swampert fires a Mud Shot. Arcanine leaps from the ground and Swampert's attack hits Corphish. Both of Ash's Pokémon look tired. Scott explains that Tucker likes to have his opponents use their strongest moves first and then counter them. It is possible to beat Tucker if you have a good strategy.

Ash's Pokémon are revived. Swampert begins with Water Gun. Corphish and Swellow dodges the attack. Corphish heads down to Tucker's Pokémon. It uses Crabhammer and Swampert uses Dynamicpunch. The result is a draw. Arcanine jumps into the air. Swellow charges into Arcanine with Peck, but before the attack can hit, Arcanine uses Flamethrower. Swellow quickly dodges with Double Team. A fire blast from Arcanine eliminates the copies. Swellow dodges the fire before it can hit it. May and Max wonder how Ash can win. Scott says that Ash will need to find a weakness in Tucker's strategy in order to win.

Swampert begins to prepare for a great water attack. While it is preparing, Ash tells Swellow to use Quick Attack on Swampert. However, Arcanine counters his attack with Extreemespeed. Corphish charges with Crabhammer towards Swampert. Swampert fires its devastating attack at Corphish. It is Water Pulse. Both of Ash's Pokémon are trapped in a water cyclone. Arcanine fires a Fire Blast at the cyclone. Corphish and Swellow are taking in serious damage from the cyclone. The cyclone finally comes to an end and both Pokémon fall to the ground. Tucker tells Ash that he is a good trainer with lots of courage. Corphish and Swellow get back up.

Arcanine uses Flamethrower and Swampert uses Water Gun. Corphish uses its Bubblebeam on both attacks. Swampert aims a Dynamicpunch at Corphish. Swellow moves quickly towards Swampert. Arcanine runs after Swellow with Extreemespeed. Just before Arcanine can get Swellow, Swellow uses Double Team to dodge and Arcanine ends up attacking Swampert. Arcanine uses Fire Blast. Corphish jumps on Swellow and uses Bubblebeam. Both attacks collide into each other leaving thick fog in the area. Tucker tells his Pokémon to keep a sharp eye on Ash's Pokémon. From the front, Swellow uses Quick Attack. Swampert and Arcanine attack Swellow, but it dodges the attack. From behind, Swellow charges for Tucker's Pokémon. Corphish uses Crabhammer and Swellow uses Aerial Ace. Both attack hit Tucker's Pokémon. With that, they both faint. Ash wins the battle.

Ash congratulates his Pokémon for showing lots of courage. Tucker congratulates Ash for doing a fine job. The audience cheers for Ash. Scott, Brock, May, and Max enter the stage. They also congratulate Ash for a great battle. Tucker thanks Ash again and walks away. Ash wonders what happened to his Tactic Symbol. Tucker says that it is right on his head. Sure enough, on Ash's cap is the symbol.

Eyecatch Pre-episode Message

In order to alert the viewers that the episode is about to start, a special eyecatch was used. The eyecatch is a countdown towards the beginning of the episode and contains scenes from previous AG openings, Advance Adventure and Pokémon Symphonic Medley. The split-screen scenes with Haruka and Takeshi were updated versions of the Advance Adventure ones that reflected the changes in the characters' Pokémon teams. More specifically, the scene that depicted Takeshi's Mizugorou and Takeshi's Hassboh was replaced with a scene from Takeshi's Numacraw's battle against Satoshi's Juptile that took place in AG149, while the scene that depicted Haruka's Achamo and Haruka's Agehunt was replaced with a scene from Haruka's Gonbe's battle against Shiromi's Rafflesia that took place in AG151. The countdown ends with Satoshi reciting his catchphrase, "Get Pokémon!" (ポケモンゲットだぜ!, Pokémon getto da ze! ).
