Summary
Ash and co. are on their way to the next island. Ash is complaining about how hungry he is. Tracey spots Mandarin Island up ahead. Ash takes the binoculars from Tracey, and takes a look for himself. Tracey tells Ash and Misty that Mandarin Island is a huge city with skyscrapers. So they set off for Mandarin Island. Meanwhile, two people in the shadows sees Ash and co. on the camera screen. They want revenge on them.

They arrive at Mandarin Island, and Ash returns Lapras back. Then they spot two trainers getting attacked by their Pokémon. Ash and Pikachu decides to figure out the problem. Suddenly, Pikachu stops. It faces the group with an angry face. Togepi jumps out of Misty's arms with the same expression. Pikachu zaps the group with a Thunderbolt. Ash tries to save Pikachu, but a group of Magnemite shocks him. Ash tries doesn't give up, but then a Voltorb explodes. When the smoke clears, the Pokémon are gone. Officer Jenny pulls up to the scene. Ash and co. explains the situation to her. Officer Jenny says that there are other reports with Pokémon not obeying their trainers. Gastly appears next to Officer Jenny.

Back at the Police Station, they call up Professor Oak. Professor Oak thinks an outside force might be controlling the behavior of the Pokémon. Officer Jenny thinks that it might be a psychic attack because Gastly hasn't been affected yet, and ghost Pokémon are strong against psychic attacks. Professor Oak wishes them good luck, and then he signs off. Tracey thinks that there's someone who might be using a psychic Pokémon. Ash and Misty are both worried. Their search now begins.

Team Rocket has also arrived on Mandarin Island. Meowth reminds them that they have to catch Pikachu, and he Fury Swipes Jessie and James. Meowth is soon affected by the psychic attack, and he runs away. Jessie and James chases Meowtht to a building with a satellite dish. Meowth goes through a hole in the wall. Team Rocket comes out through the hole too. On the other side is Cassidy and Butch. They start to argue with the motto. Cassidy tells Jessie that there's a rumor going on that she is getting kicked off Team Rocket. Meowth runs over to Cassidy and Butch, and Butch points to a large group of Pokémon. Jessie and James decides to steal the Pokémon. Arbok, Lickitung, Weezing, and Victreebel appears. Butch snaps his fingers. A Drowzee, wired up to a machine, floats down. Drowzee waves its arms stares at Jessie and James with an angry look. Cassidy and Butch have created a more effective way to capture Pokémon. Drowzee's hypnotic powers are broadcast through the satellite dish. Cassidy and Butch orders the Pokémon to get rid of Jessie and James.

When Jessie and James awake, they find themselves in the Police Station with Ash and co. James says that Meowth is now gone, and all of their other Pokémon are gone too. Officer Jenny asks who took the Pokémon, but Jessie doesn't want her criminal record ruined. Ash won't let Jessie and James go until they start to talk. Jessie and James decides to help Ash and co. They think of a plan.

Jessie and James hauls down a cart to the tower. They talk to Cassidy and Butch through the camera. In the cart is a bunch of Pokéballs. Cassidy and Butch lets them in the tower. Jessie and James wants to call it even, and to be one happy team. Cassidy suspects that something is wrong. Jessie and James pushes the cart to Cassidy and Butch, and Ash and co. jumps out from beneath the Pokéballs. All of the other Pokémon are revealed. Ash looks of Drowzee in his Pokédex. Drowzee attacks Gastly, but the attacks don't work. Gastly's attack doesn't work either. Then Drowzee commands the other Pokémon to attack. The attacks are headed straight for the group. Ash tries to stop the attack, and Gastly protects him. Ash tries to get Pikachu to follow him. He teases Pikachu for not being able to zap him. Pikachu gives one final blow. The electricity blows up the machine, and all the Pokémon are normal again.

Misty is glad that Togepi is back. Team Rocket has their Pokémon back too. Pikachu runs up to Ash, and they give each other a hug. Weezing uses Smokescreen which causes Cassidy and Butch to cough. Everyone escapes the building. Gastly breaks down the gate, so the Pokémon can get through. Cassidy and Butch appears at the top of the tower. They want to battle Jessie and James, and Ash decides to battle too. Pikachu uses Thundershock, but Drowzee teleports away. Arbok tries a Bite attack, but Drowzee teleports again. Cassidy orders for a Mega Punch. The attack beats Lickitung, Victreebel, and Weezing. Butch tells Drowzee to use its hypnosis to bounce the waves off the antenna. Drowzee prepares for a Metronome attack. Ash and Pikachu runs to stop Drowzee. Togepi begins to wave its arms. Togepi uses its Metronome, creating a massive explosion. Cassidy and Butch are sent off to jail.

Officer Jenny presents Ash an award for saving the town. Officer Jenny wants to present Jessie and James an award too, but they have disappeared. At the top of a nearby building, Jessie, James, and Meowth continues their plan to capturing Pikachu. Ash and co. leave Mandarin Island. Tracey says that Jessie and James are only on the winning side when they team up with the good guys. They have a good laugh.

I noticed a weird error in my download file of this episode:
It's out sync. Perhaps it's WMM. I was gonna take a better picture of the scene shown in the episode's page, but's off-sync. I'll try it in Media Player.

I tried and it's the same thing. I'll try fixing.
Nevermind. I won't fix it.
This episode is good, actually. Great plotline.

Characters in Episode: Current Episode Guide Info Correct? [Yes]
Ash, Misty, Tracey, Togepi, Pikachu, Ash's Lapras, Butch, Cassidy, Officer Jenny, Professor Oak, Jessie, James, Meowth, Jessie's Arbok, Jessie's Lickatung, James's Weezing, James's Victreebel, Drowzee

Written Biographies for Characters in Episode:
- Officer Jenny's Gastly - Like most Ghost Pokémon, {{Char=J-Gastly}} likes appearing out of no where and tries to be the center of attention even when {{Char=Jenny}} is discussing official police business.

{{Char=Jenny}} always has to fight with its playful nature so she can do her job. Gastly wasn't affected like the other Pokémon by Team Rocket's Hypnotic waves because Ghost Pokémon are strong
against psychic type attacks. Gastly found both {{Char=Jessie}} and {{Char=James}} lying in the street unconscious after {{Char=Butch}} and {{Char=Cassidy}} kicked them out of their base. Gastly played an important role in defeating Team Rocket by stopping the combined attack of all the controlled Pokémon from hitting {{Char=Ash}} and the others. It then broke down the front gate to allow the captured Pokémon to escape the base.

- Butch/Cassidy's Drowzee - {{Char=Butch}} and {{Char=Cassidy}} attached Drowzee to a device that would amplify Drowzee's hypnotic waves and broadcasts it through a parabolic antenna on the roof of their base. Drowzee would then use the attack to round up Pokémon by telling them to come to {{Char=Butch}} and {{Char=Cassidy}}'s base on Mandarin Island. Drowzee could also command the controlled Pokémon to attack, regardless if it was their owner that they were attacking.

It's control over the Pokémon was stopped when {{Char=Pikachu}}'s Thunderbolt destroyed the control device. After {{Char=M-Togepi}} Togepi's Metronome destroyed {{Char=Butch}} and {{Char=Cassidy}}'s base, Drowzee has not been seen since.
