Summary:

The fourth dub opening debuted at the beginning of the Pokémon Johto League Champions season in the episode "A Goldenrod Opportunity". Some of the clips from the opening were used from the Japanese opening Aim to Be a Pokémon Master - Whiteberry Version （めざせポケモンマスター Whiteberryバージョン） but it also contained completely new footage just for the dub.

The opening begins with Ash's Cyndaquil, Totodile and Pikachu posing together with a Poké ball floating above them. It transitions to Ash straightening his hat and then Misty is quickly shown holding Togepi and Brock petting his Vulpix as the shot zooms out to show them on the field of a stadium.

Team Rocket are shown in the next scene in their Meowth balloon as a water spout appears and hits their balloon. Lugia appears in front of Team Rocket and blasts them.

Nurse Joy, Delia, Tracey, Professor Oak and Officer Jenny make a quick cameo appearance together and quickly changes to Ash throwing a Poké ball. The legendary bird Pokémon Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres each appear and use their attacks which combine in front of a cityscape and explode. As the dust clears Ash and his friends appear.

The Johto gym leaders and their Pokémon are showcased in turn and after a brief segment of Ash and Pikachu riding on Charizard, the Johto gym leaders are shown again, all together on a rocky cliff. It switches back to Ash and Pikachu riding on Charizard as they jump off and they land in a large Colosseum ruins with a large flame at the top. They see a bunch of Pokémon inside the Colosseum looking back at them.

Mew and Mewtwo make appearances in space right after Pikachu uses a Thunderbolt. Lugia, Entei, Ho-oh and Suicune are shown as the video scrolls left. Gary's Umbreon uses its attack and the opening finishes with a group shot of the main characters and their Pokémon.
