OPED Details:
Summary:
Rica Matsumoto (松本梨香), the Japanese voice actor for Satoshi, sings the third opening song of the Pocket Monsters anime.A Poké ball with silhouetted Pokémon circling around it, starts off the intro as the split parts of the Pocket Monsters logo comes together in the middle from the top and bottom of the screen. It then transitions to Satoshi running down a road with a forest and mountains in the background. As he's running, Pikachu joins him, then Kasumi and Togepi and then finally Takeshi. They all run together for a few seconds until Lugia and Ho-Oh are seen flying in the sky and are battling.
The group is shown once again running through a field as various Pokémon are seen including a group of Otachi running along side them. They continue running through a forest until they come to a lake with a bunch of large rocks. They jump from rock to rock as Maril splashes water in front of a Slowpoke and its evolutions. Satoshi and friends are then seen sliding down a hill really fast on large leaves.
A person dressed in a coat with a hood over their head is the next seen and the person turns around to reveal that it is Shigeru and his Eevee. The opening once again transitions to Satoshi and his friends eating lunch on top of a hill with all their Pokémon. Mewtwo, Mew, and Suicune make brief appearance until it fades out to Rocket Gang with Kaneyo's Granbull gnawing on Nyarth's tail until Purin slides by and puts them all to sleep. The opening ends with Satoshi in a stadium battling and then finally transitions to everyone on top of a cliff.
